Pixi & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse

Pixi & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse
I made it my goal last month to get back on track with my skincare routine. This meant no more face wipes and no more just using micellar water, I needed to get my hands on a decent cleanser to start off with. I have the worst habit of resorting to face wipes or micellar water when I run out of my favourite cleanser, this time I've bought a back up! As I needed to sort my routine out, I thought what better excuse to get my hands on the new Pixi & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanser! I've had my eye on this for a couple of months and couldn't wait to give this double cleanse a go!

I had never tried anything from Pixi before this, but I knew I would love this from the get go. Pixi have collaborated with the skincare queen, Caroline Hirons to bring us this two step double cleanser to answer all our cleansing prayers. Step one of the double cleanse is the solid cleansing oil, I'd like to think of it as more of a balm. The solid cleansing oil is enriched with Vitamin E, Evening Primrose Oil and Omega Rich Camemilia oil to protect, condition, nourish and heal our skin (sounds dreamy right?). The idea is to apply a coin size amount to dry skin, which can feel a bit funny at first if you're not used to a cleansing balm/oil. The solid cleansing oil will instantly start melting away your makeup and any dirt, leaving your skin feeling silky smooth and so enriched with goodness! I like to use this with a soft flannel and wipe away the excess. My skin instantly feels softer and cleaner.
The next step is to dry your face and go in with the cleansing cream. The cleansing cream feels so rich and thick, it's such a joy to use. Caroline reccomends that you massage this into your skin to cleanse and condition your skin ready for the next steps of your regime. The ultra luxe cleansing cream is packed full of goodness including Vitamin C, Peptide Complex and Arginine. The ingredients in this will help protect and relax your skin, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I'ts not just the older beauties, who need to worry about wrinkles - prevention is key! Vitamin C will promote collagen and the Arginine will improve cell renewal and elasticity - Pixi & Caroline have us covered! The cleansing cream is so lovely and thick you can really enjoy massaging this into your skin and letting it sink in a bit. Once you've completed this step, it's time to wipe away with a soft flannel again and dry. The two step cleanse will ensure every nook and cranny of your face is squeaky clean and there's not a speck of dirt in sight. My face instantly feels so nourished and healthy, I always look forward to my night time double cleanse!

I knew from the get go I would love this and would want to share this with you beauties. I feel really confident about getting my skincare regime back on track now. This is the perfect night time cleanser, the two step double cleanse really ensures you remove all of your makeup and cleanse your skin properly. My skin feels so smooth and healthy - even Simon has noticed a difference!
I'm still working on getting the ultimate products for my skincare regime, I really want to try some more Pixi products after being so impressed with the Double Cleanse - next I think it's time for the cult favourite Pixi Glow Tonic!

Stepping Into Spring

Stepping Into Spring Origins GinZing Moisturiser, Revlon Colorstay Foundation, Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit, Maybelline the Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara, Dior Addict Lip Glow and Maybelline Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon.
I think it's safe to say we've finally stepped into Spring. The sun has been shining that little bit more and the flowers are starting to bloom. I love everything about starting a new season. I love to see the changes in the weather, mixing up my Spring wardrobe and bringing out my Spring makeup must haves. I want to share with you today some of my favourite products I bring out whilst stepping into Spring.

Stepping Into Spring Origins GinZing Moisturiser, Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit.
I love to change up my skincare during the spring. Over the Winter I was using a heavier moisturiser that happened to run out just before Spring. Spring is the perfect time to bring back my favourite moisturiser, the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. This is perfect for Spring, it's light and refreshing but does the job. It has the most gorgeous citrus orange scent that always makes me feel good in the morning. Its legendary skin boosting ingredients such as Panax, Coffee Bean and Ginseng will ensure your skin is left radiant, vibrant and uplifted. Not only is this moisturiser such a pleasure to apply, but it leaves my skin feeling radiant and with a healthy glow.
Of course if you've been reading my blog over the past month or so you will know my go to palettes at the moment are the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette and the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit. Originally I bought the eyeshadow palette and fell madly in love. The shades are so beautiful and warm, perfect for Spring and Summer. The formula is so soft and creamy, the shades really blend so well together - a little goes a long way. Of course the sweet peach scent is to die for and a great added bonus. After being so impressed with the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, I just knew I had to get the Sweet Peach Glow Kit in my collection. Again this has the cutest packaging and sweet peach scent - oh so yummy! I especially love the peach coral blush in this, the powder is lovely and soft and gives you such a healthy spring blush to your cheeks. My favourite powder in this is of course the warm champagne highlight. This gives you the most beautiful dewy glow! If you want to see this palette in action you can read my previous review

Stepping Into Spring Revlon Colorstay Foundation, Maybelline the Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara, Dior Addict Lip Glow and Maybelline Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon.
The foundation I've been trying out this Spring is the Revlon Colorstay Makeup. I've chosen the normal to dry skin formula to keep hydration levels and moisture levels at bay. This is said to be medium to full coverage but I like to use this as quite a light base. This leaves my skin feeling and looking so hydrating, natural and glowy. I find the liquid to be lovely and thin compared to my usual Rimmel Lasting Finish. This blends so seamlessly for a natural satin finish.
My mascara of choice this spring is the new Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara. I've been loving this mascara for Spring because it gives you pretty angelic lashes. I always like to go for the more angelic, glowy and natural makeup look in Spring and this is the perfect mascara to achieve this. It has a plastic angel wing brush, unlike anything I've seen before. It makes your lashes longer on the edges to give you a sophisticated and flirty look. I've always been a lover of thick long and bold lashes, but I've really been enjoying the more flirty look.
I have two lip products I've been using whilst transitioning into Spring. I'm a lover of dark nude lips but I've really been trying to embrace the sun and the more fun and pretty shades. My first Spring lip product is the Dior Addict Lip Glow. This is the perfect balm for spring. It moisturises your lips and makes them feel cashmere soft, whilst also enhancing your natural colour to give you a beautiful soft pink shade to suit your skin tone. The more affordable everyday Spring lip I've been reaching for is the Maybelline Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon in Creamy Caramel. This is so easy to wear and feels so comfortable on the lips, it's the perfect handbag essential. This is a soft and moisturising lip balm with the added peachy caramel shade. I love this when I want to spice up my makeup look but can't be bothered to wear a lipstick. It's so much easier and more comfortable to wear but looks beautiful at the same time. I really need to get my hands on some more shades!

Do you change up your makeup during the season changes beauties?

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette
As you may know already, I had been lusting after the Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection for quite some time. I didn't give in as quickly as I wanted to, as I convinced myself I do not need any more palettes in my life right now! Well, that didn't last that long and I welcomed with big open arms the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. As soon as I got that and realised how amazing and perfect it was, I just knew I needed to get my hands on some more peach perfection, welcome Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette
Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette Unedited.
I picked this up knowing it would be the perfect palette for Spring/Summer. This cute little peach palette consists of a bronzer, blush and highlighter - all with the most adorable peach design. One of the things I just fell in love with straight away from the Sweet Peach collection, was of course the added sweet peach scent. I know this is completely ridiculous, but it's things like this that just make this collection ahead of some of the rest. I love opening up my Sweet Peach goodies to get a whiff of the juicy peach scent - it's so perfect for Summer! All three powders are super soft and luxurious making them a joy to use, they all have a glowy shimmer to them to give your skin that warm golden highlight we all crave in the Summer time.
Lets start with the bronzer shade, the bronzer is a warm light brown shade, offering a light bronze to your face. I love that it's not too over powering as I'm on the paler side. I feel like this is a great everyday bronzer, perfect for a natural Summer day look. The blusher shade is just perfect for Spring/Summer. This medium peach coral blush gives a soft shimmering finish that is very buildable. You can use this to achieve a pretty coral peach sheen or build this up for a strong coral peach finish. The powder itself is lovely and soft and easy to apply and blends very well. I love that this blusher has a golden shimmer, it really helps add warmth and glow to your look. I can see this being my go to Summer blush already! Now on to my favourite powder in this palette, the highlight. The highlight is a beautiful illuminating golden peach. This just screams Summer! The warm champagne peach blends so nicely to really create a healthy golden goddess look. This compliments the peach blusher so nicely to give you a healthy and glowy finish. Just like the blusher, it's beautifully pigmented and buildable. I honestly can't stop staring at my peach glow.

This is the perfect palette for the Summer time and I know I'm going to be using and talking about this a lot. If you want that healthy peach glow this Summer, then this is the palette to get your hands on. Too Faced have blown my mind once again - they are yet to fail me!

Have you got your hands on anything from the Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection yet beauties?

Liz Earle | The Glow Getters

Liz Earle The Glow Getters Gift Set, including the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleaner, Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator and Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask
I've been really trying to improve my skincare regime over the past month, gone are the face wipes! I go through phases of having a great skincare regime and then just... not. I popped into Boots recently to pick up my trusty Liz Earl Hot Cloth Cleanser and walked past a gorgeous gift set, The Glow Getters. I've been meaning to try the Liz Earle Gentle Exfoliator and the Deep Cleansing Mask, so this was really the perfect set for me!

In this little gift set you get a full size 100ml Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, two muslin cloths, a full size 70ml Gentle Face Exfoliator and a sample 15ml Deep Cleansing Mask, all for just £29! This is amazing value considering the cleanser and face exfoliator would be over £31 together! When I got home I couldn't wait to give myself a mini at home spa day starting with the Cleanse & Polish  Hot Cloth Cleanser. I applied one pump of this to dry skin and massaged using my hands. The cleanser is super thick, rich and creamy making this a joy to massage into your face. One of the things I love most about Liz Earle products is the scent, it just make you feel like you're at the spa! The Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser has a lovely refreshing menthol scent that is instantly calming and relaxing. This is packed with naturally active ingredients including Rosemary, Chamomile, Cocoa Butter and Eucalyptus Essential Oil. The gorgeous ingredients in this cleanser ensure your skin is left super smooth, soft and moisturised. The next step is to use the muslin cloth with hot water to wipe away the excess, the cloth will gently exfoliate your skin whilst buffing away dead skin cells. I used to love using this and I still do from time to time, but now I've starting to use a really soft facial towel to remove my cleanser. I just find this way I'm not over exfoliating my skin, it's just lovely and soft to remove. My face always feels so clean and healthy after using this, I really look forward to washing my face! Any makeup or dirt is removed leaving you with radiant, clean skin. This is the perfect cleanser to start your day.
After I had cleansed my face I was very excited to try the Gentle Face Exfoliator, I've been meaning to get my hands on it for a couple of years! I applied a pump of this in circular motions. Immediately I was impressed with the spa like menthol scent. I love that this is so gentle, there's nothing worse than a harsh exfoliator that irritates your skin. This is again packed with naturally active ingredients including Eucalyptus, Cocoa Butter and Fine Jojoba Beads that leave your skin feeling super moisturised and healthy. The added cocoa butter makes this feel really moisturising and not harsh at all. I love the the jojoba beads are quite fine, it makes it so much nicer to use but you can still feel this definitely working. I'm so bad at remembering to exfoliate, but now I can't wait to use this a couple times a week. Liz Earle Gentle Exfoliator buffs away dead skin cells and impurities leaving you with fresh, healthy glowing skin! I didn't think my skin could get softer after the cleanser, but to my surprise it was on another level after the Gentle Exfoliator!
The last product in this lovely little gift set is the Deep Cleansing Mask. Now you only get a little tester size, but I didn't mind because it was great value anyway and I don't tend to use a mask as much as the other products. The deep cleansing mask again is filled with lovely naturally active ingredients such as Green Clay, Manuka Honey, Propolis and Rose Scented Geranium. Immediately I noticed how smooth the mask is. It's a little runnier than a normal mask but in a really nice way. It's so easy to apply and feels so soft and refreshing on the skin. The mask has a refreshing rose scent that makes you feel like you're at the spa! You're supposed to leave this on for 5-10 minutes to let the mask purify and regulate your skins oiliness. I always tend to leave my masks on for a little longer! After a couple of minutes the mask starts to harden and tighten. This is probably one of the most comfortable clay masks I've tried! After your time is up you need to wipe away with warm water. My skin felt lovely and cleansed and so refreshed.

I'm so glad I picked up this set, it has the most perfect products for healthier glowing skin! Each product is so beautiful and gentle to use. I love the naturally active ingredients used in Liz Earle products, and the scent always makes me feel like I'm at the spa! My skin really does feel very cleansed, healthy and glowy, I can't wait to continue using my Liz Earle Glow Getters.

This makes for the perfect gift or introduction to the Liz Earle range, have you tried any Liz Earle products yet beauties?

Skinny Tan Gradual Tanner

Skinny Tan Gradual Tanner
The sun has started shining and Summer is just around the corner, I can almost see the short shorts and smell the BBQ's! There's nothing worse than a beautiful Summer's day and not being able to get into your cute little Summer dress because of your white pasty legs. My white pasty legs are my biggest problem every year! I never get them out because they're just so blinding white, they never get to see the sun so of course they just stay blinding white - it's a vicious circle! A couple of weeks ago I got invited to a beauty launch with Skinny Tan but wasn't able to make it, luckily Skinny Tan were generous enough to send me a few of their goodies to try, so I didn't miss out. Of course I jumped at the chance to solve my white pasty leg problem! I'm not a massive fake tan pro, so I started with the Skinny Tan Gradual Tanner.

First of all how cute is this packaging! It's simple and stylish all at the same time. The idea with this gradual tanner is to apply like a body cream daily, to build up your healthy looking tan. I love the idea of not being dramatically tanned in one go, gradually building it up seems easier, more subtle and realistic and also leaves less room for mistakes. I first applied this just with my hands and immediately loved the coconut scent. The cream is very thick and moisturising thanks to the skin smoothing and hydrating oils. You can apply this just like you would any other body moisturiser, but this has your healthy glow right inside! My legs felt so moisturised and healthy after applying the cream and it didn't take long at all to sink it. Usually with fake tan (even the gradual tanners) I feel like I have to stand still for hours until it drys. After about 15 minutes or so I felt comfortable enough to get on with my day and put some shorts on. Another added bonus to this gradual tanner is the firming Guarana that helps tackle the appearance of cellulite - it's basically supermodel legs in a bottle!

Skinny Tan Gradual Tanner Before And After
Before  = Half dead legs                                                                                                                          After = Healthy natural tanned legs
I could see the results of the first application within a few hours and could already tell I looked a lot  healthier and also more moisturised. Stupidly I washed my hands after and splashed my leg which left a subtle line. Luckily as it's a gradual tanner I could patch this up next time I used it. The next day I used a tanning mit to apply the cream, which I found to be much easier, quicker and also left me with a flawless finish! I've only used the Skinny Tan Gradual Tanner for three days and I'm so impressed with the results. My legs are Summer ready and flawless. I can't help but keep staring at my tan thinking really, I have tanned legs? They look so healthy and glowy, I'm just not used to it! I can't believe how easy it is to get a flawless finish, I expected to have big streaks and white patches because I'm just not a tanning pro - but to my delight I'm healthy and sun kissed all over. I've also noticed my legs now look a lot slimmer and more toned thanks to the Guarana - hallelujah! I'm not the only one who has been so impressed with this gradual tanner, even Simon is eyeing up the bottle and wants to get himself a glowing healthy tan!

Skinny Tan have really solved my pasty leg issues. I can't wait to rock my tan all Summer long and finally wear cute Summer dresses and short shorts! I may have officially turned into a fake tan kinda gal! Spring/Summer, my legs are ready for you!

Skinny Tan have a huge range of highly rated tanning products, you're bound to find your perfect tanner. If you're like me and a bit nervous to go all out straight away, then the Skinny Tan Gradual Tanner is the perfect place to start! I can't wait to carry on with my gradual tan and also try some more Skinny Tan products.

Have you tried anything from Skinny Tan yet beauties?

March Beauty Favourites 2017!

March Beauty Favourites 2017 including Pixi & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse, Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect, Bourjois' Radiance Reveal and Barry M Speedy Quick dry nail polish in Road Rage.
It's back to the blog this month for my favourites post. I like to switch it up between my blog and YouTube. This month I actually have a lot of new products in my favourites, I thought it was about time I treated myself to some new products I've been lusting over for the past couple of months. I posted a haul on my YouTube channel yesterday if you'd like to see what else I've picked up. For now here are my favourites I've really enjoyed in March.

This month I thought it was about time I took back control of my cleansing routine - no more face wipes or just using micellar water, I needed to get my hands on a decent real cleanser again! I've been eyeing up the new Pixi & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse for a while and couldn't wait to try it for myself. I had never tried anything from Pixi before, but since this was a collaboration with Caroline Hirons who's pretty much the skincare queen, I just knew I was going to love this. I think I will do a full review on this cleanser shortly, but for now just know that I love it! It's a two step cleanse with a  balm/oil cleanser and then cream cleanser. This is the perfect pair to leave you with super soft and super cleansed fresh skin. The balm is so gorgeous and smooth (similar to the Clinique Take The Day Off and The Body Shop Camomile balm). The balm is very much capable of removing a full face of makeup, but the next step is the thick creamy cleanser, to ensure your face is squeaky clean. This makes cleansing your face such a joy, I actually look forward to washing my face thanks to this. My face just feels so fresh and healthy after, I already want to buy back ups!

The next newbie this month was of course the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette (full review here). It was about time I splurged and picked this up, I couldn't ignore the hype for any longer. I told myself I didn't need any more eyeshadow palettes, but couldn't resist the peachy perfection and I'm so glad I cracked! I can't recommend this enough, it's full of the most perfect peachy golden shades that are going to see me right this Spring/Summer. The formula is by far one of the most soft and buttery formulas out there, it's of such high quality. The shades are beautiful to blend and very high pigmented. I just can't fault this and to top it off, it smells like peaches! Every time I open the palette I can't help but enjoy the sweet peach scent, it just makes this palette that extra bit special.

The lipstick I couldn't stop reaching for in March was Charlotte Tilbury's Bitch Perfect. I've talked about this a lot recently, I just can't get enough of the peachy pink shade! Bitch Perfect is part of Charlotte's KISSING range, meaning it's enriched with gorgeous ingredients and anti oxidants that leave your lips feeling super soft and kissable! The formula is lovely and creamy and so comfortable to wear, my lips always feel cashmere soft with this on. The shade is lovely and warm coming into Spring/Summer. Bitch Perfect is a perfect all rounder, comfortable enough for a pretty everyday look, but with a hint of peachy pink colour to make a statement in your evening look.

I've stepped away from my trusty Collection concealer this past month and reached for my Bourjois' Radiance Reveal a little more. This is perfect this time of year, it's great to give your skin that added bit of radiance and brightness. I love to use this on my under eyes to give them that extra pick me up and lightness. The formula is lovely and creamy and easy to blend. This is not at all cakey, just silky smooth to blend into your skin nicely. I don't tend to use this on my blemishes as it's more suited for dark circles and to add radiance. I've really been loving this coming into Spring, it just gives your skin that extra bit of a glow and vitality.

The nail polish I've been loving this month is an old favourite from a year or two ago, it's the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry in Road Rage. This is a fun mint pastel green. As you can probably tell, I'm gearing up for Spring/Summer, I love these bright pastel shades, I think they look so cute when the suns out and also make your tan pop (even though I'm still pasty white!). This is the great affordable alternative to Essie's Mint Candy Apple. The Barry M speedy formula is lovely to apply with a shiny pigmented finish. Of course as the name suggests, the polish drys pretty quick compared to others. I find this to easy to apply for a gorgeous finish and Road Rage has just been such a fun shade to welcome in the Spring.

As you can tell from my picks in March, I've really been trying to welcome in the Spring this past month, I'd love to know what your favourites have been beauties?
