I've really been trying not to buy any new beauty products recently and just enjoy the ones I have for the time being. As I'm sure most of you will understand this can be a very tricky task, especially when a fellow beauty blogger tweets about ASOS beauty sales! I don't know whether to thank her or cry, but I've come to the conclusion that we need to take these opportunities when we can - they don't come around very often!
Of course I couldn't help myself and made my way to ASOS, knowing that I was after just one brand, NARS. If you're a regular reader, you'll know that I'm a little NARS obsessed and I can't get enough! I kept it to just a few new goodies, I didn't want to go OTT or anything!
One of the first things I always love to have a look at are the blushers, I can't get enough of NARS blushers, they're always just so on point and so iconic! They have such an amazing range, I'm always wanting to add to my collection. This time I picked up 'sin'. I've been after a purple based blush for a while and I've been buying a lot of peachy blushers lately for Summer, so I fancied a bit of a change. Sin is a gorgeous cool berry purple, with a golden sheen. This can look a little scary and dark in the pan but it's so beautiful swatched. I know I'm going to love this, especially this Autumn (I know I'm a bit too keen for Autumn!).
The next thing I knew I wanted more of, were the NARS Audacious Lipsticks. I bought Anita a few months ago and I'm obsessed with it. I can't get enough of the satin formula, it glides on so creamy but gives an almost matte look - the perfect combo! Of course the packaging is beautiful and sleek and I'm a little too obsessed with the magnetic closure! This time I fancied something a little brighter and more suitable for Summer, I picked up 'Natalie'. Natalie is a beautiful peachy pink, I can't wait to wear this, this Summer. I think this will be the perfect flirty fun shade!
The last thing I let myself buy on my naughty little online shopping slip up, was the Orgasm Illuminator. Honestly, I've been a bit scared of liquid highlights, so I've kind of steered away from this for a long time. I just don't really know how to use these properly and I don't want to ruin my makeup. I've decided it was about time to give this a go though, I've seen this all over the place for years, so this Summer is the Summer to master the liquid highlight! I haven't tried this yet but it looks so beautiful, of course I'm a big fan of NARS' iconic 'Orgasm' range, I'm a sucker for the golden peachy pink goodness! I really hope I can get that illuminating healthy glow that everyone else can achieve.
I'm sure I will be talking about my new NARS products a lot more once I've gave them a proper go, I can't wait to go and play with my new goodies!
What are our favourite NARS products?

NARS are a brand I'd love to try more of! I have some of their matte lip pencils and they're great. I've not thought of trying a purple-toned blush before, but that shade looks so pretty and I can imagine it would look incred with dark lips in the autumn (NEVER to early to start planning for autumn!).
ReplyDeleteHighlight is definitely having a 'moment' right now so you chose the right time to experiment with liquid highlight!
Sinéad ♥ fabuleuse, toujours ♥
I'd love to try their pencils next! I'm so excited to try it this Autumn, exactly what I was thinking :)
