Revlon Ulra HD Matte Lipcolor

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Flirtation Devotion Passion Addiction
I'm so excited to be writing this post. I've been raving about Revlon's latest new addition, to add to the whole matte liquid lipstick craze, the Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor. I've really got into the whole liquid lipstick thing recently, especially if they're matte! I find matte lipstick generally pretty dry, so of course I couldn't wait to try in a liquid form to see if there was any difference.

I recently went on search for anything new out in the drugstore and my main goal was to get one of the new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolors. I was initially so impressed with Devotion. On first application it applies like a creamy gloss. The wand is very soft and plush - the shape is perfect for precise, quick application. When you first apply these feel very light, but velvety all at the same time - not at all drying! Initially when I tried this I thought this was more creamy than matte, but after a few minutes you get that velvety matte finish we all crave. I love the gorgeous matte finish, it's so light it almost feels like you don't have anything on your lips.

Devotion | Rose nude pink
Passion | Cherry Red
Addiction | Berry Wine

The pigmentation is so vivid, I can see why they've named them HD! I was so impressed with Devotion I picked up three more! The staying power is amazing, after a long day these kind of act like a lip stain, but still of course very light and moisturising. Over all I absolutely love these and I've been telling everyone to go out and try them! They smell amazing, look amazing, feel amazing - what more could you want?

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette | The Golden Goddess

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in Golden Goddess
As you may remember a few months ago I went a little bit crazy and ordered a ton of Charlotte Tilbury. I couldn't resist any longer and I bit the bullet and just did it. Well now I've had all my Charlotte Tilbury goodies for a few months, I've got to use and love them quite a bit! Today I want to talk about the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in Golden Goddess.

Now if you're a regular reader, you will know I'm a sucker for golden/bronzey shimmering shadows, so of course I just couldn't not pick up the Golden Goddess! I've been using this soooo much sinse I got it, most days actually. This gorgeous quad consists of four luxurious shimmering golden toned shades, that Charlotte has helpfully coded for us.
We have from left to right, top row: 1 Prime - Warm toned champagne & 2 Enhance - Grey toned taupe.
Right to left, bottom row: 3 Smoke - Warm brown based bronze & 4 Pop Golden shimmering bronze.
You can use these tips to create a gorgeous eye look easily. I tend to to go for the gorgeous champagne Prime shade for an all over base and then dip into number 3 Smoke, for blending and to add a bit of a bronzey/brown crease. This is my go to everyday look. you can use this quad in so many different ways to create beautiful day time and evening looks.

All of these shades are soooo beautiful, they're probably some of the softest shadows I have ever used. They're so soft, they almost feel creamy to touch. They blend and apply so effortlessly - they definitely make me feel glamorous every day! This is the perfect quad for a gorgeous golden eye look, that will take you from day to night.

Have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettes yet?

New In The Drugstore

New In The Drugstore Rimmel Maybelline L'Oréal Bourjois Revlon
I can't remember the last time I spent a good amount of time perusing the isles of Boots and with so many exciting releases this year, I thought it was about time! Of course as a makeup obsessed beauty blogger, it doesn't take a lot to persuade me to go makeup shopping, so of to Boots I went in search of all things new.

New In The Drugstore Revlon Bourjois
One of the products I have seen so much of lately and just knew I needed to get my hands on was Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color. I'm all about the matte lips this year, so of course I went straight to the Revlon stand. I picked up Devotion, a gorgeous rose pink mauve. The pigmentation is just perfect, I can see why they call them 'Ultra HD'. On first application this goes on like any other gloss but not sticky. The formula is very lightweight and moisturising and the brush really cushions your lips. In time your lips lose the wet look and take on a gorgeous soft, velvety matte finish. I love how this gives such a beautiful matte finish without being drying. I will definitely be picking up more shade when I'm next in Boots!

Another product new in, are the Bourjois Souffle de Velvet Liquid Lipsticks. As You can tell I'm all about the matte liquid lipstick at the moment so of course I wanted to try this too. I've only applied this once and it's more sheer than I was expecting. I picked up Fuchsiamallow, a vibrant cherry pink, this really stands out in the bottle but once applied it looks very sheer but buildable - at first I wasn't impressed. I then looked back a couple of minutes later and it turned into a gorgeous soft matte that feels super moisturised too. The application feels very soft and light just like the Revlon liquid lipstick. Over all I'm very intrigued and I can see my liquid lipstick collection is about to grow!

New In The Drugstore Rimmel Maybelline
Last time I was in Boots I picked up the new Rimmel Volume Colourist Mascara but then convinced myself I don't need any more mascaras! Until last week I decided, actually yes I do and I bought it. I haven't actually seen or heard about this until I saw it in store. I love the gorgeous pink/purple and black packaging - not going to lie, that's what drew me in. This mascara claims to actually tint your lashes over time, our natural lashes will appear darker. Now I've only used this once so I can't comment on that just yet, but I am loving this. I love how it made my lashes look long and full without being clumpy. I picked up the Extreme black version and I love the dark defined look.

Another mascara new out this year is the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama. I bought this about 6 weeks ago and I've used it constantly. If you want full volume, this is the one to go for. Originally I wasn't much of  fan because it does make your lashes look pretty dramatic and a little clumpy, but over time this mascara was less clumpy and more defined. I thought this would be a mascara just for night time at first, but I've used this everyday, I love full thick lashes and if that's what you want, then try this.

New In The Drugstore L'Oréal Contour Trio Blush
The last thing I picked up was one of the new L'oréal Infallible Blush Sculpt Trio Contour Blushes. Now if there's one beauty trend that has really blown up over the last couple of years, it's contouring and the high street brands are finally catching up. I bought this little trio thinking it was so cute and it would be so good on the go and for everyday. I picked up Soft Sand a trio of a rosy peach blush, a pale pink and a shimmering highlight. You can use these shades separate to create the perfectly contoured blush, or all together for a beautiful shimmer blush. I think this is going to be great for everyday, I love the pretty pink/peach blush and the highlight isn't too much - it's very pale with a subtle shimmer.

Right now we have some very exciting new products coming out and for me, my favourite new craze are the matte liquid lipsticks - I want to try them all! Have you tried any new products lately, what are you loving?

Spring Lip Glosses

Spring Lip Gloss Revlon NARS NYX Benefit

We can officially say Spring is in action, despite the UK weather being pretty unpredictable (which is actually, pretty predictable), I've still been wearing my Spring favourites. I like to wear a lot of lip gloss in the Spring/Summer, I just think it's so girly and fun perfect for this season. It's easy to apply on the go and looks gorgeous with a tan!

Spring Lip Gloss Revlon Benefit NARS NYX

Last year I found myself wearing Revlon's Colorstay Moisture Stain in LA Exclusive soooo much, so I'm definitely going to be using my trusty old favourite a lot this Spring too. the colour pay off is amazing , these lip glosses are so pigmented a little bit really goes a long way. I love the formula of these, they're super glossy but also creamy and moisturising as well.  LA Exclusive is a pretty bubblegum pink, the perfect shade for a cute girly look. I love this shade this season, it looks gorgeous with natural makeup but it can also be worn in the evening, as it has a great colour pay off and can be pretty vibrant too with heavier application. I love the applicator on the Revlon Moisture Stains too, it's very wide and soft, so easy to apply!

Although I do love my pinks in the spring, I can also be persuaded by a good peachy/pink shade too! When I'm feeling the natural/peach shades, I go for my Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lip Gloss, I only have a mini of this that I picked up over Christmas time, but I could definitely see myself buying a full size. Dandelion is very sheer so it's great for work etc. or just everyday natural makeup. I don't tend to wear this in the evening, it's definitely more of a day time shade. The squeezable tube makes this so easy to apply through out the day. I love this when I just want to pop out quickly, or if I'm busy at work - it just adds a gorgeous shine to your lips and makes them look more plump and healthy.

Another mini I absolutely looooove to have in my bag at all times is, NARS Istria. This is a beautiful baby pink with a silver and gold shimmer. It's very glossy and shiny but the colour pay off isn't too much, making this the perfect shade for Spring day. It will go with pretty much any make up look. Isn't it just the cutest mini you've ever seen!?

The newest additions to my lip gloss collection are the NYX Buter Glosses. I recently picked up sooo many of these (they're only £5!). The colour pay off is amazing in these glosses, they're probably the most pigmented glosses I've tried! I really want to do a review on these soon but for now, a great shade for Spring is Peaches And Cream, a creamy pink with a subtle peach hint. The shine is gorgeous and the formula is creamy, making this so easy to wear. I love that you can either get a cute pink shade - great to add a little bit of colour to your lips, or you can apply a little bit more and get a more vibrant colour - great for a sunny day out!

Do you reach for your glosses more in Spring? What do you go for - the everyday shiny, hardly there shades or the more vibrant and bright shades?
