What I've Been Watching

What I've Been Watching
I thought I'd do a bit of a different post today, one of my most favourite things to do is laze around and get into a good series. I always have at least three series I'm OBSESSED with going on at one time. I feel kind of lost if I don't have a good series on the go and I know a lot of you out there are the same. I thought it would be fun to share with you what I'm watching at the moment.

Simon and I have been watching Supernatural since we got together. He used to lend me the DVD's and we would spend all night texting each other whilst I was watching Supernatural (ahhh how romantic!). Now we live together we decided to start all over again and watch them from the beginning together. We're on season 10 (I think!). Supernatural follows The Winchester boys Dean (Jenson Eckles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki). Dean and Sam lived an on the road life with their Father after a Demon killed their Mother. Their Father went hunting for that Demon ever since and hunted many other Supernatural creatures along the way. Unsurprisingly Dean and Sam followed in their Fathers footsteps and live a life on the road as hunters. If you love all things Supernatural, comedy and hot guys, you'll get hooked on Supernatural!
With all the talk of Gilmore Girls coming back with A Year In The Life, I thought I'd give it a go myself. I had never watched Gilmore Girls back in the day (maybe a few little snippets). So just over a week ago I watched Season 1 Episode 1 of the American comedy drama and loved it instantly! I find it so homely and comforting, it's the perfect binge watch series. I love the relationship Rory and Lorelai have, it's the kind of relationship I would love to have one day with my daughter. It's full of sarcasm, nostalgic 2000 fashion and cute boys including Jared Padalecki and Chad Michael Murray!
Since moving out I've signed up to HayU for all my Kardashian and reality TV needs without having to pay a hefty cable bill! Recently The Hills and Laguna Beach have been added and I binge watched all 6 seasons of the Hills in a few weeks! The Hills was one of the first reality/scripted TV shows out there. It focuses on Lauren Conrad's life after she left school and moved to Beverly Hills to pursue a career and education in Fashion. She lands an internship at Teen Vogue on the first episode. Over the seasons we follow the social lives of Lauren and her friends (and not so much friends) living their Beverly Hills lifestyle. The hills is full of gossip, love lives, drama, real life issues and sooo many breakups and makeups.
Again Simon and I have been watching this over the past couple of years and we've bought all the seasons. This is pretty much a better version of Malcom In The Middle. This American Sitcom follows the life of the Hecks, an average income family facing the day to day struggles of family life, work and raising children. Each character has their own individual quirks that you can really grow to love. The Middle has Simon and I in hysterics each episode, it's the perfect comedy pick me up to chill out and watch, it's great for all the family.
Over the past 2/3 weeks Love Island has taken over. My Twitter was completely filled with Love Island memes and tweets, so after the first few days of it being on I thought I would catch up and see what all the fuss was about. I'm now hooked. Although the whole fake boob brainless blondes and 'lad mentality' is sooooo not my thing, I can't help but be obsessed with this! We see a host of sexy singles on a holiday of a lifetime in the Love island Villa. The singles get to 'couple up' with hope to find love and the strongest couple ultimately winning the show. With shock twists, muggy behaviour and a whole load of 'my type on paper', once you start watching this you cannot stop!

As you can see I'm into quite a few different genres, I'd love to know what you've been watching and what you recommend. Simon and I have been saving the last season of PLL to binge watch. I find it so much easy to get into, if you can binge watch a series! That's next on our list and we're also waiting for the new seasons or Stranger Things and Making a Murderer.

What have you been watching beauties?

Rimmel #Insta Collection

Rimmel #Insta Collection including the Fix & Go 2 in 1 Primer & Setting Spray, Fix & Matte Translucent Powder and the Wonderfull Mascara with Argan Oil.
Let's face it, in this day and age it can feel near enough impossible to keep up with the trends and the flawless insta makeup. Everyone these days post a thousand flawless selfies a day and I can't even take one semi decent photo of myself, that I would even contemplate posting online. If I'm not looking spotty, I'm looking shiny. I give up taking flawless selfies of myself before I even try to be honest. Although I'm not a girl with baby soft flawless angel skin, I do like to try my best. I have always used Rimmel's Lasting Finish Foundation and Stay Matte Translucent powder to give me that medium/full coverage finish. I've been using the same products for years and have always trusted Rimmel especially with my base products. I was after a new Stay Matte Powder after hitting pan and noticed Rimmel's new #Insta collection. As any makeup obsessed deal grabber would have done, I made use of the Boots 3 for 2!

The first thing I just new I had to try was the #Insta Fix & Go 2 in 1 Primer & Setting Spray. It has been absolutely baking recently and us Brits just don't react well to the hot weather. I'm never prepared and I never know the correct way to go about things in the Summer (full makeup/no makeup?). I had never really tried a setting spray and I'm not one for primer, but with this hot sweaty weather I figured I could use all the help in the world to keep my makeup in place. I've used this both as a primer and setting spray and on first thoughts I love the way it feels on my skin. I love the refreshing spritz, it's perfect in this weather. The scent is refreshing and kind of smells like cucumbers - there's nothing worse than having a cosmetic smelling scent on your face! I feel like the past week or two have been the toughest time to trial the Fix & Go spray. It's been stupidly hot and sweaty, so it really had a lot of work to do. Although my face did feel a little sweaty after a good few hours in this 30° heat whilst working, surprisingly enough my makeup hadn't budged all that much. I can honestly say that if I wasn't wearing the Primer & Setting Spray, I know my skin would be a big sweaty patchy mess. My face kind of felt like a big sweaty patchy mess, but in fact didn't look half bad! I would love to try this in more of a normal climate, to give it a fair chance.

Originally I was after my trusty Stay Matte powder when the #Insta Fix & Matte Translucent Powder caught my eye. I'm so faithful to Stay Matte, I almost feel scared to try something new, I managed to talk myself into getting this due to the fact it's another Rimmel product and of course the 3 for 2! The first thing I noticed was the colour. I'm used to Rimmel translucent powder being a little skin coloured, so I was surprised and a little skeptical about the white powder. I don't know why but I was worried this powder would leave me looking as white as a ghost (obviously it didn't). Fix & Matte Translucent Powder instantly mattified and smoothed my skin leaving no fall out behind. This is perfect to get rid of oiliness and to minimise the look of pores without that cakey finish.

Of course I was taking Boots up on their 3 for 2 offer and was on the search for a third. I picked up Rimmel's Wonder'full Mascara with Argan Oil. Now I don't think this is in the #Insta collection but I just couldn't help myself, it was in the promotion and everyone knows I can't resist trying a new mascara! I picked up the Extreme Black shade as I love a defined lash! First of all I love the packaging, to me it screams Summer ready. I'm also a fan of the thick brush. I love a full thick brush that really grabs and curls my lashes. The Argan Oil promotes smooth and clump free lashes and it certainly delivers! This applies so smooth and easy, there will not be a clump in sight. I think this is perfect for everyday lashes. You may not get your big massive full effect night time lashes, but you will however get beautiful smooth and clump free natural lashes. Your lashes can be thick and full but if they're clumpy, it ruins the whole look. I love the lightweight and natural feel to this mascara, it's perfect for the hot weather!

Rimmel were the brand that got me so excited about makeup and really started my obsession off. I've been impressed with the new #Insta collection and I think when the weather gets back to normal, this can really help me with he whole "#Instaselfie" thing! I would love to try some more from their new collection and see if I can really give the whole flawless selfie thing a go!

What has caught your eyes from Rimmel's new #Insta collection beauties?

Summer Bronzers

Summer Bronzers Bourjois Delice de Poudre, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow and the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit.
I'm writing this on a very cloudy dull day but in fact we are nearing the middle of June! When I think of Summer makeup I instantly think of bronzer and what better time to need a bit of bronzing than on a dull Summer's day! Us Brits are used to an unpredictable Summer, for me if it's grey outside then all the more reason for a beautiful Summer's bronze! Today I want to share with you three of my go to Bronzers for Summer time.

Summer Bronzers Bourjois Delice de Poudre, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow and the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit.
The High Street Summer Bronzer!
Before I started blogging I was never really a bronzer girl, I was that girl who thought she was too pale for bronzer and it would just make me look stupid. In reality I looked kind of stupid with no colour to my face! The first bronzer I got my hands on was the holy grail Bourjois Delice de Poudre. I don't know what was going through my mind, but I chose the darker shade. Luckily this bronzer is lovely and buildable so if you start with a light hand, it's perfect to add a bit of colour to even the palest of skins. The powder is beautifully soft and smells like chocolate, it's such a pleasure to use! The bronzed powder is filled with golden shimmers to give your skin that sun kissed Summer's glow. This is a gorgeous bronzer perfect for Summer holidays. The darker shade is also great for contouring to give you a little dimension. If you haven't tried this high street staple, then get your hands on it this Summer beauties.

The High End Must Have!
The bronzer I've been using everyday and for all occasions for over a year has been the famous Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. I fell in love with this from the first glow. Of course with higher end products, you expect beautiful results and quality and sometimes you can be left a little disappointed, not with this! Even with all the hype I was so impressed with the cashmere soft powder, I had never felt anything like it before. The light bronzing shade is not at all orange in the slightest. It gives you a healthy and natural bronze with an added golden shimmer. This is the perfect shade to sculpt and slim your face in the most natural and beautiful way - you really will feel like a film star! The shade is light enough for an everyday healthy hint of colour, but buildable enough to give you a sun kissed and luminous finish.

The Everyday Natural Bronzer!
The last bronzer on my list for this Summer is the newest in my collection the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Kit. Let's just start with the scrumptious sweet peach scent! I'm a big fan of products with beautiful sweet scents, if your applying something on your face it does help to have a lovely scent. I honestly just can't stop smelling this palette every time I use it. Now onto the actual product, I'm not going to lie I thought this would apply darker but in fact it applies quite fair. This is perfect for girls like me on the paler side, you can build this up for a more sun kissed look. This is a great little bronzer for everyday. The powder is lovely and soft and such a joy to apply.

My skin is in desperate need of a little added healthy bronze this Summer and these are the bronzers I swear by. I would love to know your go to bronzers in this predictable dull UK Summer beauties?
