Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Mascara
You all know by now that when Maybelline come out with a new mascara, I'm the first to try it out. Mascara is one of my favourite things and Maybelline just impress me time after time with their mascaras. So of course when I got this beauty through the door I just had to try it out. Maybelline just kill it every time for me, so it's only fitting they come out with The Colossal Big Shot Mascara.

Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Mascara
First of all I looove the packaging. It stands out from the crowd and really grabs your intention. In this day and edge you've got to Boss It and Maybelline have got us covered so we can #LASHLIKEABOSS ;)
I love a full brush so I was even more excited to see The big shots full thick brush. This is the perfect wand to apply full loaded volume in just one coat thanks to its unique wavy bristles. I found this so easy to apply and could see amazing results straight away, it was love at first sight. My lashes were instantly lengthened right from root to tip. The wand instantly coats the lashes so evenly and without clumping with it's collagen enriched formula. I'm a big fan of long voluminous lashes and Big Shot delivers this instantly. This is the perfect mascara to give you effortless big bold BOSS long lashes, Colossal Big Shot won't let you down. My lashes are long and thick all day long. Got a big night out coming up or you just want to #lashlikeaboss everyday, get your hands on Maybelline's new The Colossal Big Shot Mascara.

Once again Maybelline have impressed me. I've always been obsessed with Lash Sensational, could this be my Lash Sensational bigger and bolder best friend?

5 Product Face

Five Product Face including Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, NARS Deepthroat Blusher, Revlon Colorstay Eyebrow Pencil, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and Rimmel Oh My Gloss
I'm one of those girls who's either wearing a full face of makeup or completely bare faced, I don't really have an in-between. I've always envied girls who can just get away with wearing a little concealer and lipgloss and look so natural and glowy. The thought of even going out without powder, bronzer, highlight, eyeshadow (the list goes on and on) just freaks me out, it's all or nothing! Until one Sunday. Simon and I went on a spur of the moment trip for a roast and tea and cake. I didn't want to spend my Sunday doing my makeup but also wanted to look some what presentable, so decided to do something I had never before, go foundation and powder free!

I didn't want to spend time putting on all the trimmings, so for my base I just used the trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I used this on all of my blemishes and blended this out to even my skin tone. I always thought I'd be left with blotchy patches if I didn't use a foundation, but to my surprise my skin looked great and so natural! The Collection concealer covered my flaws and evened out my skin, making me look fresh and ready for the day.
I've never not used powder to set my base, but that day I just didn't want to. I thought my face would feel sticky or sweaty without wearing powder, but actually my skin felt so healthy all day. I went straight on to adding a bit of colour to my cheeks with my NARS Deepthroat blush. Again I always apply my blush after my powder so this felt very odd to me. I loved the finish this gave. My blush looked more natural and flawless and had much more of a glowy and flirty feel.
In this day and age you just can't go out without your eyebrows on! I used the Revlon Colorstay Eyebrow Pencil to give my brows a little boost. This is perfect for an everyday brow. The pencil is nice and creamy and so easy to use and the brush just blend in the colour to give you full natural brows.
One product that really makes a difference to my look is mascara, so of course I couldn't not wear mascara. My trusty favourite for any occasion is the Maybelline Lash Sensational. This lifts and lengthens my lashes, making my eyes look more awake and more alive. Lash Sensational adds so much volume and life to your lashes and it's so easy to use thanks to its curved wand.
To complete my quick and easy look I added a bit of gloss. I used the Rimmel Oh My Gloss in Glossaholic. This is a pretty fun pink to add a bit of colour to your everyday look. This is the perfect shade for a Spring/Summer day.

I was so pleased with how my makeup turned out, I looked healthy glowy and natural. My skin felt like it could breathe. All it took was five trusty products and literally about five minutes to apply! I can see myself choosing the five product face more often now!

What would be your trusty five products beauties?

Maybelline's Limited Edition Pixie Collection
When it comes to makeup, there's nothing more exciting than a limited edition collection. So of course when the new Maybelline The Pixie Collection came through my door I couldn't wait to tear open the package and see what was inside. Maybelline have released some of their trusty best sellers, in the new magical holographic Pixie packaging - it's just like fairy dust!
The new Pixie Collection is exclusive to Superdrug and is in stores now until the 30th May. So if you're like me and need to get your hands on the hottest new limited edition makeup collections, you better act fast!

Maybelline's Limited Edition Pixie Collection Vivid Hot Laquers
Maybelline's Limited Edition Pixie Collection Vivid Hot Laquers Swatches
Left to right: Slay It, Obsessed, Unreal.
The Pixie Collection:
One of the only liquid eyeliners I can get on with is the Maybelline Master Ink Liquid Eyeliner. This little beauty has a smart tip brush making application so easy and controlled. The formula is lovely and jet black, not at all drying. I love that the tip and handle make for effortless, controlled application.
Maybelline Strobing Stick Light Iridescent is the perfect product for Spring/Summer. I wasn't that into strobing last year, but this year I'm fully prepared. This is perfect for a flirty highlight. The light iridescent shade works so well with my pale skin, it gives a glowy and fun look without being to over board. I love to apply this with my fingers to my cheekbones.
Just like the iridescent shade, Maybelline Strobing Stick Medium Glow is gorgeous for Spring/Summer. I think this one works better on me if I have a tan, it's also beautiful for the evening. This gives you that warm golden glow we all crave during the Summer!
Of course Maybelline have included one of the most popular high street eye concealers in their new Pixie Collection, the Maybelline Instant Anti Age The Eraser Eye Concealer. Unfortunately I've never been able to join in on the hype with this one because the lightest shade is just a little to dark for me. I have noticed Maybelline have a brightening Age Rewind concealer so I definitely need to get my hands on that one. If you're lucky enough to find a shade for your skin type in this you need to try it. I hear it works wonders for bags, lines and tired eyes.
Next on my list is a product that I have so much love for already, the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. I have the original, but this is also included with the super fun and magical Pixie Collection wrap. This is one of my all time favourite mascaras, Maybelline can do no wrong for me when it comes to mascara. This lifts and lengthens lashes, whilst giving you that thick bold lash look we all crave.
Last but certainly not least in Maybelline's new Pixie Collection are the Vivid Hot Laquers. Laquered lips seem to be the new craze going into Summer and Maybelline have us covered! Say goodbye to the nude matte lips and hello to bold vivid colour packed full of shine! The Pixie Collection Vivid Hot Laquers come in three shades, Unreal (a warm nude), Obsessed (flirty raspberry) and Slay It (a dark sultry plum).

My favourites from Maybelline's Pixie Collection are the Light Iridescent Strobing Stick, Master Ink Liquid Eyeliner, Push Up Drama Mascara and of course the new Vivid Hot Laquers! Maybelline have us covered for our flirty shimmering pixie makeup looks this Summer.

What are your must haves from the new Maybelline Pixie Collection beauties?

Skincare Q&A!

Skincare Q&A!
I feel like I've lost my blogging mojo a little bit over the past two weeks. I haven't missed a week of posting in for as long as I can remember. I don't know why but I just haven't had the motivation or inspiration lately. Anyway I need to get back in the swing of things and I thought what better way to get me back in to the blogging game than do a tag post! I found this fun little skincare tag a while back and can't even remember what it was called, ahh! I just loved the questions and finding out about people's skincare habits so I thought I'd give it a go. So here are my answers:

1. What is your skin type? I used to think I had oily skin just because I'm prone to a few blemishes and spots, but I actually think I have combination/dehydrated skin.
2. How do you store your skincare products? I keep my face washes, exfoliators and masks in the bathroom and moisturisers in the bedroom. I usually love to cleanse my face in the bathroom and moisturise in bed.
3. What is your favourite ingredient? I honestly don't know too much about skincare ingredients...
4. What is your most indulgent product? I don't have too many really high end or expensive products, maybe my Origins GinZing Moisturiser.
5. What is your best budget buy? Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Makeup Remover. It's under five pounds and is probably one of the only eye makeup removers that has ever actually removed all my eye makeup. I just use this with a double sided cotton pad to wipe away my eye makeup before I cleanse.
6. Do you use any tools? I use soft Egyptian cotton face cloths from Dunelm Mill to cleanse my face every morning and night.
7. What are the best masks? I've recently tried the Liz Earle Deep Cleaning Mask and I loved it! I love that it's a little runnier than a normal clay mask and it's not drying in the slightest. The scent makes me feel like I'm at the spa and my skin is left so radiant and soft.
8. What is the best multi-use product? Hmmmm, I don't want to say it but maybe Simple Face Wipes? I don't use them any more to take my makeup off, but I used too (ahh!). I use these now to fix my makeup when I've messed up, wipe my lips before applying lip products and generally cleaning around the house sometimes hahahah! whoops!
9. What is your favourite brand? Oooh that's hard! I think I've always loved Liz Earle, they're products are just so natural and gentle, I always feel like I'm at the spa! I've loved everything from Origins I've every tried and really want to try more. My newest skincare favourite has been the Pixi & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse and I was so impressed, I'm on a mission to try more from Pixi this year too.
10. What is the best spot treatment? I've really been impressed with Origins Super Spot Remover! My spots reduce literally in 20 minutes once applied!
11. What is your favourite step in your skincare routine? I love double cleansing, taking off my makeup and being left with super soft clean skin is the best feeling in the world.
12. What is on your skincare wish list? All of the Origins masks!

I hope you've enjoyed learning more about my skincare, feel free to do this tag yourselves beauties.
