The Christmas Tag

Can you believe it's the week before Christmas and I'm only just getting round to putting up some Christmas content! Our trip to Disneyland and work has really kind of screwed me over when it comes to blogging this December! It's been a couple of weeks since I've blogged, but that's ok because were back with even more content than I would normally post this week - yay! I wanted to do something fun and festive and though what better way to get in the Christmas spirit than do a Christmas Tag! I found this on makeupsavvy.co.uk and just thought it was so cute. I really hope you enjoy this tag and please do post your own answers, I've put all the questions down below for you to use beauties.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
This is so hard to choose I have so many! I think my earliest favourite Christmas movie is The Santa Clause, I've watched this every year for as long as I can remember, so for me this really is one of the most festive films. Of course I'm also obsessed with Elf, it's just hilarious. Simon and I watched this a couple of nights ago and I just couldn't stop laughing when Buddy eats the cotton ball - it gets me every time! Arthur Christmas is also up there, this is one of my newest favourites. Every year I also re watch all of the Harry Potter films. I know they're not exactly christmas films but for me they're so festive and magical! Finally I can't go a year without watching Bridget Jone's Diary, again not exactly a festive christmas film but it is slightly Christmassy. Also Simon and I have a little Christmas Eve tradition of watching Love Actually and ordering pizza, it's one of my most favourite things I look forward too.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning! Isn't that the main event of Christmas!? Every year I always beg Simon to let me open a present early and he doesn't let me. I actually think if he let me I wouldn't want to anyway, it spoils the magic of Christmas morning.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
don't think I have one favourite. Whenever I think about past Christmases I just love the memory of having your family around you and everyone being in an amazing mood. I just love it when everyone's having th best time and laughing together and of course there's amazing food around!

4. Favourite festive food?
Christmas dinner! I can't choose. A roast dinner has always been my favourite meal so every year I'm very very excited for Christmas dinner. My Dad is the boss at Christmas dinner. Every little detail is just perfection. Last year was my first Christmas I didn't have my Dad's Christmas dinner and I had to make it myself and it just isn't the same when you're the one slaving away. Thankfully this year we're having dinner at my parents, so I get my Dad's Christmas dinner, yay!! I'm just not ready to let go of my family Christmas dinner and start doing it myself yet.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
Now that is very, very difficult! I'm so very lucky that every year Simon spoils me with amazing things. He gets me the cutest things that he knows I'll love. A couple things from last year that were amazing were some Ugg slippers. These were my main present from him and I love them so much, they're so cute and comfy - I'm all about being cosy! Also he bought me Destination Hogwarts the board game. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan and I love board games, so this is just the ultimate gift for me! This year I'm getting Harry Potter Cluedo, I literally can't contain my excitement!

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Anything spicy usually. This year I've been burning The White Company Winter candle and it's just so festive, it's packed full of Clove, Cinnamon and Clementine - you can't get more festive than that! Leaves from Bath And Body Works is also a firm favourite for me. Even though it's considered an Autumn scent, to me it just smells so spicy and Christmassy. I do also love a sweet/ fruity scent, so any kind of Christmas apple/cranberry scent usually floats my boat too.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Yes! Every Christmas Eve, Simon and I order Prezzo pizza and snuggle up and watch Love Actually. Simple I know, but it's the thing I most look forward too. It means that it's officially Christmas and all the planning and organising has finished and now it's time to really just enjoy Christmas. Last year our tradition nearly got ruined. We ordered our Prezzo pizza for collection and went to collect and the restaraunt was closed! So that was the first time we didn't have Prezzo pizza, we had to make do with Dominos. This year I'm not sure what kind of pizza we'll have, maybe it's the end of the Prezzo tradition!

8. What tops your tree?
This is the second Christmas Simon and I have been living together and both years we've used the same sparkly gold star. I'm not sure if it's going to end up being a tradition or maybe one year we'll change it. If we do end up using a different one, I definitely want to keep our first every tree topper.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Honestly, I can't remember. I don't think I every really asked for anything that crazy. I always kind of new my parents limit and not to ask for anything extreme. Maybe in my head I would of liked a holiday or a puppy or something.

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
The festive feels! Having time with your loved ones and everyone's just enjoying life and doing fun things together. Christmas is a time that should be magical, every part of christmas is just the ultimate best thing ever. The best people, the best food, the best films - it's all just so magical!

I really hope you've enjoyed this fun little tag and it's got you feeling super festive. I'm bursting with excitement for Christmas eve!

Please let me know if you decide to post The Christmas Tag beauties.

Cosy Christmas Essentials

It's the week before Christmas and the festive rituals are in full swing. For me the best Christmases involve taking part in all the cosy Christmas activities. There's a few thing I love doing in the run up to Christmas that get me feeling all the Christmas warmth and magic.

1. By now if you haven't watched at least five Christmas films, then I don't know what an earth you've been doing all December! Christmas films are probably one of the best things to get you in the festive mood. What's better than snuggling up with your favourite Christmas films and feeling all the Christmas magic. My favourites are The Santa Clause, Elf, Arthur Christmas, Bridget Jones, Love Actually and Harry Potter.

2. If you haven't already, it's defintley time to start wrapping presents and writing Christmas cards. This is an amazing way to get you in the Christmas mood. I love to stick a Christmas film on or listen to Christmas songs whilst feeling like I'm Mrs Clause herself, making sure everyones presents are looking as magical as can be. This involves all the glitter, all the ribbon and all the bows I can get my hands on! I feel like most of the fun in giving a present, is trying to make it look as magical and festive as can be.

3. There's something about Harry Potter that just gives me all the cosy Christmas feels. The one thing I love about Christmas, is for me it's time to relax and do some of my most loved things. I love to find the time to cosy up and get stuck in to reading Harry Potter. There's nothing better than wearing your cosiest pj's with a snuggley blanket, a Christmas candle burning and the Christmas tree lights twinkling and getting lost in the world of Harry Potter.

4. Of course you can't go a December without at least one trip to LUSH to pick up the highly anticipated Christmas collection. December is the ultimate bath season. Now I'm a bath person and love a hot bath every night all through out the year, but there's just something about Christmas time that makes it sooo much more enjoyable. My favourite festive treats from LUSH are Golden Wonder and Shoot For The Stars. I love that they're so magical and sparkly but also still have a refreshing citrus scent. I can't get enough of the zesty bath treats and I love that I can still get my favourite scents, as well as that hint of shimmering Christmas magic in a bath bomb this time of year.

5. Of course to make the most of any cosy Christmas time, you need to perfect your Christmas hot chocolate. For me the perfect Christmas hot chocolate consists of Mint Options, a ton of mini marshmallows, topped with a mountain of squirty cream with a sprinkling of more mini marshmallows. Then if I'm feeling super duper christmassy, a candy cane (that usually melts and falls in the hot chocolate!).

I really hope you're feeling all the Christmas magic beauties! I'd love to know your cosy Christmas Essentials?

The White Company Winter Candle

We can officially call it candle season! If you're not cosying up under a blanket and lighting your favourite festive candles right about now, then you're doing Autumn/Winter all wrong! This time of year is all about getting cosy and festive. The weather has got really chilly lately and there's nothing I love more than being snug with a warming scent burning. I couldn't ignore the hype The White Company Winter has been getting the last couple of years. So this year I picked up the Winter Botanical Pillar to see what all the fuss is about.
Now my favourite candle this time of year is usually Bath and Body Works Leaves. I love the festive warm cinnamon scent and I was hoping The White Company Winter would be similar. The White Company Winter is a gorgeous festive candle with cinnamon, cloves and orange to give you that spicy but sweet scent. It smells absolutely gorgeous, you just can't beat cinnamon and cloves this time of year. The difference in Winter is it has a fresh orange hint to it. This is such a gorgeous combination, it really balances out the candle so it doesn't get too spicy or sickly. You could have this burning in any room to add a festive feel. The added orange make sure the candle isn't too over powering and too spicy, but you still get that warm spicy scent.
I chose the botanical pillar because I absolutely adore the added cinnamon sticks, orange slices and berrys in the candle. This makes the candle just that little bit more cosy and festive, it just looks so gorgeous and Christmassy - a perfect Christmas decoration.  The botanical candles have a hard wax outer so the candle burns down on the inside and stays looking beautiful and festive on the outside.
This is the perfect Winter candle to cosy up to, it will warm you up and relax your mood. I definitely think this is up there with Bath & Body Works Leaves. It's a gorgeous festive spicy candle with a sweet orange touch, making this a perfect all rounder you couldn't get sick of.

Have you tried The White Company Winter Candle yet beauties? What are your festive favourites?

My Me Time Must Haves

As I get older I find it even more important to take some much needed me time. I find that life is just so busy and moves so fast now that it's incredibly easy to let it just zoom past without taking anything in. Taking a couple of hours for myself every week is definitely something I've been trying to incorporate in my life. I have a few me time must haves that really help me to take a minute and relax!

The first and most important step in taking my my time moment, is of course the hot bubble bath! I've found the perfect pick me up double act from LUSH to turn any bath into a mini spa break! First you need bubbles and Brightside Bubble Bar gives the softest most luxurious bubbles! I'm a sucker for a citrus fresh scent, and Brightside is just delicious it smells good enough to eat! The sicilian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine oils are so uplifting, it's pretty impossible not to feel great afterwards. The bubbles are lovely and creamy, they feel so amazing on the skin.
I've found the perfect bath bomb to pair up with my Brightside Bubble Bar, Cheer Up Buttercup. This little wonder packs a hell of a punch in the citrus scent department - it's not to be underestimated. The uplifting lemon, lime and neroli scents compliment Brightside bubble bar so well - you'll be in citrus heaven. This citrus duo are the perfect pair to give a well deserved uplift, it's exactly what I need after a long week.
The next thing I do to make sure I'm enjoying every moment of my me time, is light my favourite cosy candle. At the moment I'm loving the spicy and warm festive scents. I still have plenty left from my Bath & Body Works haul from last year. I've really been enjoying Leaves this season. To me it smells exactly like Christmas. It's spicy and warm but oh so cosy. Salted Caramel is also one of my favourites, it's warm and sweet and smells absolutely delicious. Having a candle burning not only smells delicious, but it really creates a relaxing environment with the flickering flame - get some fairy lights on and it may just feel like heaven!
So I'm now utterly relaxed after my indulgent bubble bath, it's time to settle down with a festive candle and watch one of my favourite films or read a good book. I love to find a couple of hours a week to cosy up on the sofa and get stuck into a film. At the moment I'm feeling Bridget Jones. It's so festive but hilarious at the same time - a real pick me up! Nothing is cosier than a good rom com right?

Taking these few hours a week really gets me going for the week ahead. I'd love to know what you do in your all important me time beauties?

The Ultimate Berry Lip | MAC Diva

I've really been embracing the chillier weather recently, it finally actually feels like Autumn! I love the colder weather, wrapping up warm and having natural glow to your face! One makeup trend I can't get enough of in the Autumn is the berry lip! A vampy burgundy shade, really adds some colour and warmth on a colder day. I want to share with you my ultimate berry lip this Autumn - MAC Diva.
Mac Diva is the perfect go to berry lip this season. It's a bold burgundy berry shade that will step up any makeup look. I've been wearing this any chance I get, it just makes a normal average look ten times better! I used to be kind of scared to wear a bold lip but Diva is just so easy to wear, it's just so flattering. Diva is a gorgeous shade for all skin tones. The matte formula is surprisingly so comfortable to wear too. I like to apply the smallest amount of lip balm before hand when I apply any lipstick, but I still look out for dryness when wearing a matte lip. Thankfully Diva feels almost creamy even though it's a matte - I know crazy right!? This is going to be one of those lipsticks that I just can't live without and have to repurchase. Now that doesn't happen a lot, but when you find your perfect Autumn berry lip, you just can't be without it! If you want to see this gorgeous lipstick in action, you can check out my Warwick Castle vlog.

Have you tried MAC's Diva yet beauties? What's your ultimate berry lip this Autumn?

Autumn Makeup Bag

Autumn Makeup Bag including NARS Sin, MAC Diva, NYX Warm Neutrals Palette and The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream
We're in the middle of the best time of the year, Autumn! To me Autumn is so festive, it means new wardrobe, new makeup and so many fun Autumn activities. I've already shared with you my favourite  things to do in Autumn, what I'm watching this Autumn and filmed an Autumn clothing haul on my YouTube channel. Today I'm finally going to share with you a few products in my Autumn makeup bag I would be lost without this year.

The first item just screams Autumn, the NYX Warm Neutrals Palette. This is filled with 16 oh so Autumn rusty bronze shades. This has been the first non lip product I've bought from NYX and I've been so impressed. The shades are so pigmented and so lovely to apply and blend, I still can't go over it was only £16! This is the only palette you will ever need during the Autumn months, it literally makes me feel like an Autumn leaf!
The next product I've been obsessed with this Autumn is NARS Sin blusher. I used this all of last Autumn too, it's the most perfect warm golden mauve shade. I'm a sucker for a NARS blusher, they're  amazing quality and last forever! This gorgeous purple mauve shade is lovely to add a bit of an Autumn hue to your look.
The next product in my Autumn bag is another favourite from last year that I just couldn't wait to bring back out this Autumn, MAC Diva. If there's one thing everyone needs to complete their Autumn makeup, it's a matte burgundy lip. Diva is the queen of my Autumn lipsticks and I reach for it constantly. I love this bold burgundy shade, it completely steps up any look. I'm also so impressed by the matte formula. This is not drying in the slightest which is very surprising for a matte lipstick. Diva looks and feels gorgeous!
The newest Autumn goody I've added to my makeup bag this season is the Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream. I feel like I would be a complete fail as a blogger if I didn't pick this one up, so of course I had to get it as soon as I walked past The Body Shop. I'm so glad I got this, it smells divine! The scent is sweet and warming thanks to the madagascan vanilla, pumpkin and a hint of maple syrup! The texture is lovely and creamy, so soft to the touch. It dries within seconds making sure you don't feel greasy. My hands feel so soft and moisturised and smell pretty delicious too!

These really have been my Autumn saviours this season, I don't think I could get through Autumn without them! I'd love to know what's in your Autumn makeup bag this year beauties?

Rimmel Lasting Breathable Review

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation and Concealer
I've relied on Rimmel for my foundation since I was a teenager! I always go back to my trusty Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation and wouldn't be without it. So of course when I saw the new Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Foundation and Concealer I just had to try them! The original Lasting Finish has been my staple for the longest time, I love the medium/full coverage it gives and the great colour match.
Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable is Rimmel's most lightweight but long wearing foundation yet. I love a long wearing foundation, there's nothing worse than having to touch up half way through the day - it never looks as flawless as you first first applied! Lasting Finish Breathable has an applicator like no other, instead of a pump we have a soft applicator. This is great to apply straight onto your face with, say goodbye to foundation stained hands (I always forget to wash it off!). The formula is of course a lot thinner than the original, but still has the same moisturising feel to it. This foundation blends so easily thanks to the lightweight formula, I like to build this up to create a medium coverage. I love how this makes my skin look and feel so healthy! I feel like this is the perfect foundation for a good skin day. This is definitely a great option for people who don't want the full coverage the original gives. I'm a full coverage kind of girl, but I actually really love this for chilled or good skin days!
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer was probably the product I was most excited to try. Finally Rimmel have come out with a concealer with tons of shade options! I picked up the lightest shade, this has been perfect for the under eyes. It's light and bright and provides a lovely coverage. The concealer has a lovely medium coverage, it's not cakey at all but still adds that cover you need. I need to get my hands on the next shade up to hide my blemishes. The concealer has a cushion applicator that feels so lovely on the skin, especially under the eyes. It doesn't drag or irritate at all!
Rimmel have won me over again with their base products. I will definitely be reaching for Lasting Finish Breathable on a good skin day or chilled weekend, I'll save the original for night outs or terrible breakouts! The new breathable concealer is perfect for brightening up the under eyes and adding extra coverage to blemishes.

Have you tried the new Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Foundation and Concealer yet beauties?

5 Things To Do This Autumn

5 Things To Do This Autumn
So you're now officially ready for Autumn after reading my 5 Ways To Get Ready For Autumn. Now it's time to really get in the Autumn spirit and make the most of the Autumnal months. One of my favourite things about Autumn is how festive it feels and all the Autumn activities available. I want to share with you five things to do this Autumn.

1. Pick your own pumpkin. Now this is my number one thing to do this Autumn. I've been wanting to do this for so long but I can't seem to find somewhere around Gloucesterhisre that will let you PYO - it's crazy! If you're lucky enough to have a PYO pumpkin patch near you then do it! How fun would it be to make a day of it, go exploring with your friends/family and find the perfect pumpkins for you.  Get a spot of lunch and take some insta's in the pumpkin patch - this will definitely get you in the Autumn spirit.

2. Cosy up with a film/book and a home made roast. You don't have to go out to feel all the Autumn goodness. One of my favourite things to do in Autumn is to stay in, cosy up with a candle and blanket and watch Harry Potter or get stuck into a good book - a home made roast is the icing on the cake! The great thing about Autumn is, you don't have to feel bad about staying in and not going out in the cold weather. It's perfectly acceptable, if not expected of us to get all snug and warm on the sofa!

3. Bring Autumn into your home. An Autumn Homeware shopping spree is one of my favourite activities of the year. Some people may say I'm sad, but they're wrong. To me nothing's more fun than Autumnal homeware, you can go all out with the fairy lights and cosy blankets and cushions! I love the little pumpkin ornaments and autumnal leaf decorations, don't even get me started on the candles! The annual trip to Homesense for Autumn homeware is a must!

4. Halloween themed day trip. There are so many festive activities you can go and enjoy, especially around halloween. Most tourist attractions will have a 'spooktacular' event going on. Wether it's a family farm, wildlife park or theme park, there are so many fun amazing halloween days you can plan this Autumn. You can pick and carve pumpkins, go on a spooky hay ride, or go on a real life ghost tour. Check out what's on near you this Halloween!

5. Go to your local 'scarfest'. Now this is probably one of my favourite things I look forward to. Simon and I like to go to 'Frightmare' near us with our friends. There are so many halloween festivals like this around the UK, you're bound to have one near you. Basically you pay to get the living day lights scared out of you. Usually with live horror attractions, actors and mazes, it's definitely a night to remember.

What are your plans this Autumn beauties?

What To Watch This Autumn

What To Watch This Autumn Panasonic
One of my favourite things to do in Autumn is to cosy up in front of the TV with a candle burning, binge watching amazing TV or getting stuck into my favourite movies. I'm all about creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy my favourite programmes and films in. So this means burning my favourite Bath & Body Works Autumn Leaves candle, snuggling up with the cosiest blanket and eating my favourite snacks! I've teamed up with Panasonic to celebrate their Ultra HD 4K TV Panasonic, that delivers the ultimate professional cinema display right in the comfort of your own home! Nothing sets the perfect cosy Autumnal atmosphere, quite like watching your favourite films just as the director envisioned them.
I want to share with you what I'll be snuggling up to watch this Autumn.

1. Stranger Things 2. I'm literally bursting with excitement to watch Stranger Things 2. I loved the first season so much I actually rewatched the entire series in one day! I don't want to give away too much if you haven't watched the first season, so I'm just going to give you a sentence from Netflix's description - "When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl". Stranger Things had millions of us hooked and left us on a real cliffhanger, this Autumn it's back again eeeeek!

2. Harry Potter. You all know by now I'm a massive Harry Potter fan and around this time of year I love to re watch all of the films. To me these are the ultimate cosy Autumnal films, there's nothing better than snuggling up with a Sunday roast and Harry Potter. I've already watched the first two films this year so I'm on to 'The Prisoner Of Askaban". The attention to detail in the Harry Potter series just blows my mind and makes me feel part of the wizarding world!

3. The Apprentice. Maybe not so spooky or Autumnal, but the Apprentice is back and I'm loving it. I love how every year Alan Sugar puts together a team of some of the strongest, intelligent and business savvy candidates, that actually end up looking like a bunch of clowns a lot of them time. Watching them fight over the chance to be Alan Sugar's next business partner, but messing it up along the way is pure TV gold!

4. Hotel Transylvania. Of course I can't not talk about my favourite family Halloween film. Every year I look forward to watching Hotel Transylvania 1&2 and every year they leave me in stitches. The comedy and imagination that have gone into these films is just genius, it's a real gem for the whole family.

5. Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life. If there's one series that has me feeling all the Autumnal feels it's Gilmore Girls! I mentioned before in a previous post, that I had just started watching Gilmore Girls and I was obsessed! Gilmore Girls is set in the festive town of Stars Hollow and focuses on the Mother/Daughter relationship of Lorelei and Rory Gilmore. I was so not ready for Gilmore Girls to be over, I needed more of the sarcastic comedy and cosy festive feels... introducing Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life. A Year In The Life consists of 4 long episodes several years later. We follow our favourite characters through the four seasons and see how life has turned out for them.

I'd love to know what you'll be watching this Autumn beauties?
You can enjoy your favourite Autumnal shows and movies with the Ultra Hd 4K TV Panasonic.

5 Ways To Get Ready For Autumn

Five Ways To Get Ready For Autumn
I'm one of those people who just can't get enough of Autumn and I'm usually completely itching for Autumn to begin by the start of August! I'm already planning Autumn activities and looking forward to all things Autumn. To me it's the best time of the year and everything involved with Autumn just gives me all the feels! Now we're officially at the start of Autumn I want to share with you five ways to get ready for Autumn and how to make the most of this delicious season! (Have I mentioned I love Autumn!?)

1. Get your Autumn candles out. This is probably one of the best ways to start feeling Autumn ready. How can you not feel ready for Autumn with a Pumpkin Spice Candle burning! Now last year I went completely overboard with the Bath & Body Works Autumn candles and thankfully I still have plenty of Autumnal candles left over. My favourites are Salted Caramel, Leaves and Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow. Now this isn't going to stop me buying a ton more probably from Homesense this year! Having those warm spicy scents filling your home will get you feeling oh so Autumnal and cosy.

2. Get your home feeling cosy and Autumnal. One of my favourite things to do this time of year is get my home ready for Autumn. In come the big cosy blankets, warm spicy candles and fairy lights. There is so much Autumn homeware out these days, it's hard not to go overboard. Taking a trip to Homesense/Asda to pick the perfect Autumn bedding and Autumn reef is one of my favourite things to do. In come the little pumpkin ornaments sneaking up to halloween. If this doesn't get you feeling Autumnal - I don't know what will!

3. Sort out your wardrobe and bring in the chunky knits and comfy boots. Now it's time to get you looking and feeling Autumnal. A seasonal shopping trip is on the cards. The weathers getting colder and darker so it's time to embrace those chunky knits and earthy tones. We can get our boots and skinny jeans back out - hooray! Welcome back your favourite cosy scarf and bobble hat! Autumn fashion is so much fun!

4. Get cosy with your favourite books and films. If you're not feeling Autumnal yet then you might need a bit of hand. Around this time of year I start to re watch the Harry Potter series. As you probably already know I'm a massive Harry Potter fan and the films and books give me all the feels! To me there's something so Autumnal and Christmassy about them, they really embrace this season. I love nothing more than having my BBW Leaves candle burning, being snuggled up with a cosy blanket in my little fairy light and pumpkin filled living room and watching Harry Potter or getting stuck into the book!

5. Eat plenty of roast dinners and perfect the ultimate hot chocolate before Christmas. As the weather gets colder, nothing feels better than eating a home made roast dinner. Having crispy roast potatoes and fluffy yorkshire puddings smothered with gravy back in my life, is one of the best feelings ever! Roast dinner season is officially upon us - isn't it glorious! It's also the perfect time to perfect your Christmas hot chocolate. I like to go all out with the cream and marshmallows and I may even pop in a candy cane if I'm feeling extra Christmassy!

By now you must be feeling ready and raring to go for Autumn! I'd love to know how you get ready for Autumn beauties?

Stepping Into Autumn | NYX Warm Neutrals Ultimate Palette

NYX Warm Neutrals Ultimate Palette
We can officially call it Autumn without everyone else having a fit that it isn't 'officially'
Autumn. Well it is now, so bring on all the Autumn goodness! In my first little Autumn post of 2017, I want to talk about the NYX Warm Neutrals Ultimate Palette. I have been eyeing this up since July time, just waiting for Autumn to come along! This is THE ultimate palette to step into Autumn with.

NYX Warm Neutrals Ultimate Palette
To me this just screams Autumn, the burnt copper hues and warm golden neutrals will leave you feeling like an actual Autumn leaf! I had never tried any NYX shadows before so couldn't wait to see what they're like. I was very impressed. The shadows are lovely and soft and very pigmented, it's not hard to create a beautiful look. Considering this palette has 16 shades all for just £16 I was almost expecting the quality to be not so great. In fact this holds its own compared to my high end palettes. I'm not usually a high street eyeshadow person, I never use them because I always find myself having to build up the shades soooo much because the pigmentation is just awful and the formula can be dry. The NYX Warm Neutrals Palette is just the opposite - thank god! The shades are gorgeous and blendable, you don't need to use half the pan for it to show up! The shades are just to die for, they're right up my ally and I will be using this all year round. This is probably one of the only palettes in my collection (and I have a lot) that I can really see my self using and loving every shade. The Warm Neutrals palette has a lovely mix of shimmering and matte shades, I usually just stick to shimmer but the mattes are so beautiful in this - I've been converted!
I'm so impressed with the NYX Warm Neutrals Ultimate Palette, I really want to try more from the brand. The quality is just unbelievable for the price, if you can't justify forking out £40 for a Naked palette or other high end palettes, then you really don't need to because this does the job perfectly! I happily reach for this over my high end palettes regularly!

I would love to know what else you think I need to try from NYX beauties. Please stay tuned for some more Autumn goodness coming your way!

DUPE ALERT | L'Oreal Paradise Mascara

DUPE ALERT L'Oreal Paradise Mascara and Too Faced Better Than Sex
If I had to pick one makeup product that was exploding out of my dressing table because I love trying  so many of, it would have to be mascara... or lipstick or palettes. Ok but today we'll go with mascara! I love trying new mascaras, I'm one of those lucky ones that can kind of get along with most mascaras (I'm sorry ok, don't hate me!). Some of my favourite mascaras come from Maybelline including Lash Sensational. My favourite high end mascara is the Too Faced Better Than Sex. I couldn't ignore the hype from L'Oreal's newest mascara release and I folded and got myself the new L'oreal Paradise Mascara! I haven't actually tried a L'Oreal mascara before so I was very excited to give this one a go. Once I did, I couldn't help but notice it was a complete dupe for my very much loved Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara!

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara
Of course the copper packaging caught my eye and reeled me in and I couldn't wait to try it that next morning. The brush is full and looks identical to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. This is probably my favourite kind of brush, I'm not that into plastic brushes they can kind of pull my lashes too much, I much prefer the fuller fibre brushes. Immediately this mascara gave me longer fuller lashes and it instantly reminded me of Better Than Sex. Paradise mascara focuses much more on the length than it does the volume. The volume is still nice but it's more for longer more defined lashes. It doesn't take a lot of work to get you your long gorgeous paradise lashes, usually I'm sat there going over and over to get any kind of length! Paradise mascara instantly gives you beautiful long lashes that feel so soft to the touch - it almost feels like you're not wearing any mascara at all! My lashes stay looking perfect all day long without the heaviness of a million coats of mascara. I'm usually very loyal to Maybelline for high street mascaras, but I can honestly say I will buy this again it's that great! (It's not cheating if they're made by the same company right!?)

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara is a complete dupe for Too Faced's Better Than Sex! Down to the brush, the finish and even the packaging slightly! If you can't justify spending £19 on the Too Faced mascara then definitely try the slightly more affordable L'Oreal Paradise mascara at £11.99 - it's just as good!

Have you tried any of these two mascaras beauties?

Party Makeup Picks

Beauty Blvd Glitter Lips
Now I'm edging towards my mid 20's, I don't spend as much time drinking and partying. So when I do, it's a real excuse to go all out with the makeup! I'm talking winged eyeliner, big bold lashes and glitter lips! Yes glitter lips. I want to share with you my go to party makeup picks.

Beauty Blvd Glitter Lips
A lip craze new on the block recently are glitter lips. Glitter lips are the perfect statement for festivals, parties or maybe just a Sunday afternoon if you're feeling it! I had been sent some Glitter Lips from Beauty Blvd and to be honest, I wasn't sure when I would have the chance to wear them or if they'd actually be any good! I decided to try them one afternoon and was sooo impressed! The idea of having actual glitter lips is pretty cool but I did think it would be more of a pain than it's worth - I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. I managed to apply my glitter lips in under five minutes. First off you apply the glue like a lipgloss to one lip and then start packing on the glitter with the applicator. I was expecting to end up with glitter all over my face, all over my makeup desk - just everywhere! In fact there was no fall out at all! The glitter sticks very easy to your lips and the applicator makes it super easy to create an even neat finish. Once you're done you can remove any excess. I was expecting Glitter Lips to be very uncomfortable and messy, I thought I would want to take it off straightaway. In fact I kept my Glitter Lips on for the best part of four hours and even managed to do all my housework feeling like a disco ball! I was able to drink, eat and even kiss without any transfer! The only thing I will say is when I drank from the cup, there was a slight taste of glitter or glue, but nothing major and my lips still looked dazzling!
I've been so impressed with Glitter Lips I would definitely consider trying more shades. I think these would be perfect for a fun night out or festival weekend! I couldn't recommend Beauty Blvd's Glitter Lips enough if you want to create a fun and flirty party look.

Next on my party makeup picks is the new Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara. You all know I'm a Maybelline mascara girl, so of course this is my go to party mascara. I had always been content with lash sensational for all occasions but Big Shot takes your lashes that one step higher! To me this is lash sensation but bigger, longer and bossier! The volume is unbelievable and I have never had such volumous long lashes and I've tried a fair few mascaras in my time! This is perfect for a night out. I'm a fan of big bold lashes for all occasions, but even for me this is a little too extreme for everyday. This mascara is so easy to use to create gorgeous boss lashes thanks to it's fuller wand - a definite for going out out!

Last but not least of my party makeup picks is my trusty Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner. I used to rock a cat eye most days when I was younger but now I save it for a special occasion. Supercat is my go to, to create a gorgeous winged eye. I find this so easy to use thanks to the marker tip. It's so easy to create a thin defined finish due to the fine point - it's just like a more controlled felt tip! You can easily create a thicker and bolder look depending on how hard you press. I've never expereienced this smudging or rubbing off during the day and I usually do with all other parts of my makeup! Supercat stays bold and black all day and night! If you want to perfect your cat eye or smouldering smokey eye look, then you need to give Supercat a go!

I'd love to know if you've tried any of my party makeup picks beauties? What are your go to party must haves?

Bourjois Summer Set Free Gift

Bourjois Summer Set Free Gift
As you guys know, I'm a sucker for a free gift so when I saw the Bourjois Summer Set gift, I just jumped at the chance to get my hands on this. All you need to do is spend £12 on Bourjois products to get this beautiful little gift worth £26!
I've always been loyal to the Rimmel Stay Matte powder, but I thought what a great opportunity to try something else. I picked up the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder. I picked up the lightest shade Vanille. I've been using this everyday for the past week and it shapes up pretty well when compared to Stay Matte. It instantly mattes my makeup and gets rid of any shiny patches, I do have to re apply during a busy day but I think that's pretty normal for me. I would love a translucent shade in this.
The next thing I bought to get my hands on this cute little gift was the Rose d'Or Blush. When I think of Bourjois, these little blushers always spring to my mind, I think one of these blushers may have been one of my first ever makeup purchases as a young girl! These little pots were the original baked blush! Rose d'Or is a beautiful bright pink with a golden shimmer running through it. This is perfect this time of year to add a bit of colour to my look. The texture is lovely and soft and the pigmentation is perfect to add a natural coverage or a brighter finish. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the scent - yes this blusher is iconic and has been around for 150 years, but it doesn't have to smell 150 years old! It has the classic "old granny" rose scent.

Bourjois Summer Set Free Gift
Onto the Summer Set Free Gift! This gift contains three full size products - what a bargain!
The first product I was so excited to try was the Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist. On first application I loved the formula, this is one of those really lovely creamy matte liquid lipsticks, with no drying in site - I'm a sucker for these velvet/matte formulas! The shade is a gorgeous dark pink nude, perfect to add something to your everyday look. I've been very impressed with Nude-ist, I'm for sure going to be adding more to my collection!
Something I'm always excited to try is a mascara. The Bourjois Volume Reveal Adjustable promises to give you volumous unclumpy lashes all day long no matter how many times you re apply. I can't say I'm the type to re apply my mascara through the day, but I do like to pile it on in the morning. I didn't notice any clumping, just long volumous lashes. I'm usually very loyal to my Maybelline Lash Sensational or Too Faced Better Than Sex and this hasn't got me straying for too long. I think it's a great mascara and I will use it all up, but for me there's no wow factor for me to buy it again - a great free gift though!
Lastly we have the Brow Duo Sculpt! This two in one brow pencil helps fill and define your brows with one end and highlight and sculpt with the other. I love the idea of being able to highlight your underbrow to create a perfectly defined look. I think this pencil worked great but I do find a retractile pencil usually gives a sharper and neater finish. I also love a brow pencil with a brush, but I can't expect Bourjois to bring out a brow pencil with three ends now can I!? Overall this pencil is great and comes with a lovely pink champagne highlighter that is perfect for your under brow - I'm just a bit set in my ways!

I've loved trying out some products from Bourjois and I can't deny that this is amazing value! Get your hands on the Bourjois Summer Set Free Gift now at Boots beauties!

Origins GinZing Range

Origins GinZing Range including Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser, Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream and the Origins GinZing Peel Off Mask
If there's one thing that makes me feel like I've got my sh** together (when in fact I really haven't), it's having beautiful skincare products. Personally I feel like if you're going to splurge a little bit then you should definitely consider splurging on skincare. For a long time now I've been hooked on the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser and I've been wanting to try some more from the GinZing range. This month I treated myself to the GinZing Peel Off mask and I feel like I should share with you my thoughts on the Origins Ginzing range.

For the last couple of years I've been obsessed with the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. I have combination skin and in the past it's been very difficult for me to find a moisturiser to suit my skin. Most moisturisers I had tried would leave me with oily patches half way through the day and I just could not deal with that! I picked up the Origins GinZing moisturiser and immediately fell in love the the refreshing citrus scent (I'm a sucker for anything citrusy!). The moisturiser itself felt light on my skin and very refreshing, it's such a joy to use in the morning and helps wake me up. The oil free moisturiser, hydrates and moisturises without leaving a greasy film in the slightest. Origins GinZing is packed full of skin boosters such as Panex, Ginseng and Coffee Bean to hydrate and revitalise your skin. My skin is left feeling refreshed, revitalised and hydrated.
After being so impressed with the Ginzing Moisturiser, the next product I tried was the hyped up Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream. I must admit I had never been an eye cream kind of person so I don't have anything really to compare this too. Again the eye cream has a lovely scent and it really does perk you up a bit in the morning. The cream itself is a little thicker than the moisturiser but is definitely nice and refreshing on the under eyes. As the name suggests, this is perfect for refreshing and restoring radiance to tired puffy eyes. A little goes a long way because the formula is lovely and creamy. All in all I've enjoyed using the GinZing refreshing eye cream and would buy it again.
After being very impressed with the Ginzing products I had already tried, I had been meaning to try the GinZing Peel Off Mask for the longest time. I recently got my hands on it and couldnt wait to try it. This masks promises to lift away stubborn dead skin cells, dirt and debris and leave your skin feeling smooth and glowing. The formula is very thick, making it easier to apply than other masks. The mask feels refreshing and relaxing once applied. Like most masks, you can feel this tighten and dry but this doesn't actually make your skin feel dry like other masks. I really enjoyed having this mask on my face... until it was time to peel it off! It honestly felt like I was waxing my face! I don't know if I just have an abnormally hairy face, or if it's like this for everyone but I was not a fan of removing this - it kind of ruined the experience. I like masks to be a relaxing, pampering time not painful! This did leave my skin feeling softer and maybe a little more radiant but nothing to OTT. I would use this mask again but I couldn't peel it off! I think the next time I use this I will remove it with warm water. If you're thinking about buying this mask, just bear in mind it's not really a relaxing/me time kind of mask if your planning on peeling it off!

I've really been enjoying the GinZing range and I'd love to try some more, maybe I'll go for the wash off mask next! What have you got your eyes on beauties?
