Top Highlighters Featuring Benefit's High Beam, Maybelline's Master Strobing Stick, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow and theBalm's MaryLou Manizer.
Before the Summer's out I want to talk about my favourite highlighters. For a lot of people highlight is to be used in the Summer only, but I for one love a bit of sparkle all year round! I love how versatile highlight is, you can go all out for the glitter ball effect or lightly for a subtle healthy glow. Recently I've realised I have quite a few highlighters and illuminators in my collection now and I want to share with you my favourites.

Top Highlighters Featuring Benefit's High Beam, Maybelline's Master Strobing Stick, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow and theBalm's MaryLou Manizer.
From Left to Right - Benefit's High Beam, Maybelline Master Strobing Stick, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC's Soft & Gentle, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow and theBalm Marylou Manizer
Starting with probably the first highlight/illuminator I had really come across in the beauty world. Benefit's High Beam has been raved about for years now, so naturally I had to pick it up sooner or later. High Beam is a pretty satin pink liquid highlight. I wanted to try this sooo much but I was a bit nervous by the liquid formula. High Beam was the first liquid highlight I used and it did take a few attempts to get used to it. After I got the hang of it, I found the best way to apply was to dab this on my cheekbones and blend in with my fingers. You're left with a beautiful satin highlight, gorgeous for a dewy finish. I love the pearly light finish this gives, it's so beautiful and luminous.
Next up is my first strobing product. Maybelline sent me their Master Strobing Stick in Medium-Nude Glow and I just couldn't wait to try it. It's the most gorgeous warm golden highlight, so perfect for warming up your look for Summer. This is super creamy but light, making it so easy to blend in to your skin to create heavier or lighter dewy looks. The stick applicator is great for quick and easy application. It's so easy to apply onto your cheeks and blend in with your fingers, you can also reach into smaller areas (under the brow bone etc.) with the side of the applicator. I can't wait to bring this into Autumn with me and warm up my Winter looks.
Our last liquid highlight is NARS Orgasm Illuminator. I had been meaning to get my hands on this for so long and I finally did this Summer. I love the golden peachy shade, it adds a really nice rosy golden highlight to your cheeks. This is nice and light and also easy to apply. I just dot this on and blend with my fingers. I always worry a bit with liquid or cream highlights that they'll rub my makeup underneath off, but this is just perfect. This illuminator is so versatile and can be pretty sheer, making this the perfect product to add a luminous dewy glow to your everyday looks.
Next up is my newest and one of my favourite highlights right now, MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish. I've recently wrote a post on this highlight, so if you would like a more in depth review and see it in action, pop on over to my review here beauties. This is one of the highly talked about highlighters in the blogging world, so I was very excited to add this to my collection finally. I love the peachy golden shimmer to this. It's very pigmented but also very soft and blend-able. You can use this heavily for a super glittery highlight, or keep blending for a softer shimmer. I love how this picks up the light, it really is beautiful and warm!
Another favourite in the beauty blogging world is Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Naturally I had to pick this up after hearing so much about it. I've used this quite a bit as you can tell. The first thing I noticed about this is how luxuriously creamy the powder is! It's so creamy it almost feels like a cream highlight! The powder is so soft and lovely to apply. I like how this golden shimmer is pretty but natural. It's the perfect highlight for a subtle glow, this is great for everyday or for looks with a brighter lip/eyes etc. The creamy powder gives you a healthy and radiant glow every time.
Last but certainly not least we have the first ever highlight I ever bought, theBalm MaryLou Manizer. This is a perfect all rounder. The golden shimmer highlight is subtle but effective. The shimmer particles are so finely milled you definitely get more of a glow than a glitter. This is perfect to use on cheek bones, under the brow bone, cupids bow and the inner corner of your eyes. I love this for all occasions and this is the perfect everyday highlight. Unfortunately I've used this a lot and I've managed to smash mine, but that doesn't stop me, I refuse to stop using my Marylou!

If you're looking for your next holy grail highlight, I'm confident you can find one in my top highlights. Each and every one has a little something to them that makes them perfect in their own way. I go through phases of using the same product for a good month or two before I switch it up and find my new holy grail highlighter. Which of my top highlighters are you loving beauties?
