MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish Review
Last month I turned 23 (Ahhh I'm officially a real life adult!) and of course to make myself feel better I just had to go shopping. I had a few items on my list that I couldn't resist any longer and one of them was MAC's Soft & Gentle. I've been meaning to get this for the longest time, but other highlighters have got in the way and lowered the immediacy of getting this. As it was my birthday and we had travelled to Selfridges with a MAC stand, I thought it was the perfect time to get my hands on the cult favourite Soft & Gentle.

MAC SOFT & GENTLE MINERALIZE SKINFINISH REVIEW
I'm a big highlighter fan and I use it all year round, the weather doesn't stop me! I just don't feel complete if I don't have a bit of shimmer on my cheeks. Soft & Gentle is a beautiful peach toned golden highlight with 77 mineral complex - if you're after a shimmer, this is the one for you! The golden shade is perfect to add a subtle luminous finish with a hint of warm glitter - so pretty for Summer. If you want that Greek Goddess look, this gets full marks. I also think this is going to be gorgeous going on into Autumn. It adds a bit of warmth to your cheeks which I find really nice in the Autumn - it may be cold but your complexion doesn't need to be! I find this gives off a really healthy radiant finish, you could even use this all over (very lightly with a good polish!) to give you a glowing luminous look - I think the all over look is definitely more suited to Summer time!
The powder itself is slow baked and velvety smooth, making this a dream to use. A little goes a long way and you can really blend this as much as you like to get lighter or heavier looks. Although this is very pigmented and glittery, you can definitely use this everyday for more natural looks. If you blend it in a bit more the glitter kind of softens and you're left with just a luminous healthy glow. The only thing that can be a bit annoying is, it has quite a bit of fall out in the pan. Also when you apply it can leave a bit of fall out, but this can easily be blended in. I can see this working for all skin types as it's so versatile to use, it can be light and radiant for paler skin as well as gorgeous and golden on darker skin.
I also love the new packaging this comes in. Now we can actually see the shade through the clear lid so we don't confuse it with our setting powders! MAC really give you a healthy amount in this domed baked powder. I can see this lasting a good couple of years (thankfully as it has a bit of a steep price at £24). I'm very impressed with Soft & Gentle and I'd love to try some more in the Mineralize Skinfinish range, there really are some beautiful shades. Although were coming to the end of "Summer", I think this is a perfect all rounder, all year long - so it's never too late in the year to pick up a highlight, I can't wait to use this in Autumn.

What Summer makeup picks are you looking forward to carry over into Autumn beauties?
