The Perfect LUSH Bedtime Bath LUSH Twilight Bath Bomb and Comforter Bubble Bar
There's nothing I love more than to take the time to relax and unwind in my spare time at home. Life can get pretty busy when you've just moved out, work full time, run a blog and to be honest just trying to keep up with the day to day household chores can be tricky at times! I feel like my mind is always on overdrive and I find it hard to unwind at night time. I love a nice cosy, relaxed evening so of course a LUSH bath is the perfect pamper essential. I've recently tried a new night time bath combination and I just have to talk about it. If you're after the perfect comforting and relaxing chilled out bath, then you need to try LUSH's Twilight bath bomb and The Comforter bubble bar.

The Perfect LUSH Bedtime Bath Twilight Bath Bomb
The Perfect LUSH Bedtime Bath Comforter Bubble Bar
The first step to my perfect bedtime bath is to run that hot tap and throw in your Twilight bath bomb. Twilight is a pretty pink bedtime beauty. The name says it all. As soon as you throw this in, it fizzes fast, revealing it's sweet lavender scent. The lavender and ylang ylang oil instantly calms and soothes, I'm not usually one for lavender but I love it! After a few minutes the bomb will reveal it's blue centre and start to swirl and turn the water into a shimmering deep purple. The water itself is just so pretty and calming, just like the nights sky. This bomb also creates silky bubbly lather that feels so creamy and moisturising to the touch - so soothing and soft. Everything about this bomb is designed to sooth you and relax you for the perfect nights rest.
If you're like me and like to go all out with the bubbles, then the next step is to crumble your Comforter bubble bar under the cold tap and watch your bath fill with luxurious creamy bubbles. The comforter has a sweet berry scent that is irresistible! We can thank the Cassis Absolute for the fruity blackcurrant scent and Bergamot oil for the the uplifting pick me up. As soon as you crumble this beautiful pink bubble bar, you will notice the creamy, moisturising bubbles it gives you. The comforter leaves the water so soft and moisturising, ready for a long comforting soak.
Put these two together and you have the recipe for the ultimate, luxurious unwinding and soothing bed time bath. This bath cocktail will be sure to get you ready to settle down for the perfect nights sleep and leave you uplifted and refreshed to take on another busy day. I can't thank LUSH enough for helping me relax and treat myself. It's so important to take the time to unwind and treat your mind, body and soul (cheesy I know - but so important!). If you're struggling to chill out then go and treat yourself and pick up LUSH's Twilight and The Comforter, you won't regret it.

How do you relax and unwind beauties?

Top Highlighters Featuring Benefit's High Beam, Maybelline's Master Strobing Stick, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow and theBalm's MaryLou Manizer.
Before the Summer's out I want to talk about my favourite highlighters. For a lot of people highlight is to be used in the Summer only, but I for one love a bit of sparkle all year round! I love how versatile highlight is, you can go all out for the glitter ball effect or lightly for a subtle healthy glow. Recently I've realised I have quite a few highlighters and illuminators in my collection now and I want to share with you my favourites.

Top Highlighters Featuring Benefit's High Beam, Maybelline's Master Strobing Stick, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow and theBalm's MaryLou Manizer.
From Left to Right - Benefit's High Beam, Maybelline Master Strobing Stick, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC's Soft & Gentle, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow and theBalm Marylou Manizer
Starting with probably the first highlight/illuminator I had really come across in the beauty world. Benefit's High Beam has been raved about for years now, so naturally I had to pick it up sooner or later. High Beam is a pretty satin pink liquid highlight. I wanted to try this sooo much but I was a bit nervous by the liquid formula. High Beam was the first liquid highlight I used and it did take a few attempts to get used to it. After I got the hang of it, I found the best way to apply was to dab this on my cheekbones and blend in with my fingers. You're left with a beautiful satin highlight, gorgeous for a dewy finish. I love the pearly light finish this gives, it's so beautiful and luminous.
Next up is my first strobing product. Maybelline sent me their Master Strobing Stick in Medium-Nude Glow and I just couldn't wait to try it. It's the most gorgeous warm golden highlight, so perfect for warming up your look for Summer. This is super creamy but light, making it so easy to blend in to your skin to create heavier or lighter dewy looks. The stick applicator is great for quick and easy application. It's so easy to apply onto your cheeks and blend in with your fingers, you can also reach into smaller areas (under the brow bone etc.) with the side of the applicator. I can't wait to bring this into Autumn with me and warm up my Winter looks.
Our last liquid highlight is NARS Orgasm Illuminator. I had been meaning to get my hands on this for so long and I finally did this Summer. I love the golden peachy shade, it adds a really nice rosy golden highlight to your cheeks. This is nice and light and also easy to apply. I just dot this on and blend with my fingers. I always worry a bit with liquid or cream highlights that they'll rub my makeup underneath off, but this is just perfect. This illuminator is so versatile and can be pretty sheer, making this the perfect product to add a luminous dewy glow to your everyday looks.
Next up is my newest and one of my favourite highlights right now, MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish. I've recently wrote a post on this highlight, so if you would like a more in depth review and see it in action, pop on over to my review here beauties. This is one of the highly talked about highlighters in the blogging world, so I was very excited to add this to my collection finally. I love the peachy golden shimmer to this. It's very pigmented but also very soft and blend-able. You can use this heavily for a super glittery highlight, or keep blending for a softer shimmer. I love how this picks up the light, it really is beautiful and warm!
Another favourite in the beauty blogging world is Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Naturally I had to pick this up after hearing so much about it. I've used this quite a bit as you can tell. The first thing I noticed about this is how luxuriously creamy the powder is! It's so creamy it almost feels like a cream highlight! The powder is so soft and lovely to apply. I like how this golden shimmer is pretty but natural. It's the perfect highlight for a subtle glow, this is great for everyday or for looks with a brighter lip/eyes etc. The creamy powder gives you a healthy and radiant glow every time.
Last but certainly not least we have the first ever highlight I ever bought, theBalm MaryLou Manizer. This is a perfect all rounder. The golden shimmer highlight is subtle but effective. The shimmer particles are so finely milled you definitely get more of a glow than a glitter. This is perfect to use on cheek bones, under the brow bone, cupids bow and the inner corner of your eyes. I love this for all occasions and this is the perfect everyday highlight. Unfortunately I've used this a lot and I've managed to smash mine, but that doesn't stop me, I refuse to stop using my Marylou!

If you're looking for your next holy grail highlight, I'm confident you can find one in my top highlights. Each and every one has a little something to them that makes them perfect in their own way. I go through phases of using the same product for a good month or two before I switch it up and find my new holy grail highlighter. Which of my top highlighters are you loving beauties?

Charlotte Tilbury HOT LIPS Electric Poppy Lipstick Review

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Electric Poppy Review
As you all know I'm a massive lipstick fan and I can't help but pick one or two up if I'm going makeup shopping. I love all kinds of finishes and shades and can't help myself even if I seem to have another 7 of the identical looking shade! I'm one of those kinds of people that gets persuaded by packaging. To me a lipsticks packaging is just as important as the formula. It's nice to have something that looks super beautiful on your makeup stand or in your handbag. Naturally I'm like a magpie to all things rose golden and elegant, so of course I've got a few Charlotte Tilbury lippys in my collection. But I was yet to have one of the new HOT LIPS and I knew I just had to pick one up!
Charlotte Tilbury's HOT LIPS collection is a collection of 16 new and powerful bold shades inspired by 16 of the world's most inspiring and powerful celebrity women. I love that Charlotte embraces girl power. The HOT LIPS collection is full of gorgeous bold shades, that will help add glamour and confidence to anyone's look in seconds! I totally agree with Charlotte, lipstick is powerful!

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Electric Poppy Review And Swatches On Lips
I was perusing the Charlotte Tilbury stand whilst shopping on my Birthday and I just couldn't ignore the HOT LIPS collection, I was not leaving without a new lipstick! I found it sooo hard to choose which shade to go for - did I want a nude I can wear everyday? A bright bold lipstick to stand out? Or maybe a darker Autumnal lipstick? I just couldn't decide, so I asked my boyfriend, Simon which one he liked best. He chose Electric Poppy. I was very impressed, Sometimes I steer away from the bright cherry/fuchsia pinks, as I get scared they'll make my teeth look yellow, but there was just something about Electric Poppy that I couldn't keep my eyes off. Electric Poppy was my winner. It's the most pretty and enticing cerise cherry, inspired by Poppy Delevingne. Electric Poppy is Poppy Delivingne all over, it's bold and electrifying, but also pretty and cool. The beautiful cherry pink is perfect for beauties with the fair English rose complexion (I tend to think I'm more pasty than English rose-esque). It really compliments fair skin and brightens your teeth too - always a winner in my books! The bold bright colour is sure to make you feel confident and hypnotising as soon as you put this on. The HOT LIPS collection lipsticks have the most beautiful bullet. It's sharp and angled, making it very versatile when applying. The angled shape reaches to all contours of your lips, for neat precise application. Charlotte has also added a cute embossed pout to the HOT LIPS range, for me it's these little details that make a product stand out and worth the high end price. Electric Poppy has a luminous modern matte finish, making this nice and creamy to apply. The shade looks a little sheer at first, but after about ten minutes you're left with the gorgeous light matte finish. I don't find this lipstick to be drying at all, thanks to the more luminous and sheer formula. So if you're after a matte lipstick without the dry cracked lips that tend to go along, then try Charlotte Tilburys HOT LIPS collection. Your lips are left looking healthier, fuller and younger, thanks to the 3D glowing pigments, soothing orchid extracts and magical antioxidant ingredients from the lipstick tree - your lips will look kissable and irresistible! I find this lippy to last a good 4 or 5 hours and holds on pretty well when eating and drinking. I like to re apply anyway - any excuse to whack out the stunning rose golden packaging! Overall I'm loving my HOT LIPS Electric Poppy, it's perfect for a night out and also to brighten up your casual day to day look. I've got my eye on a couple more HOT LIPS shades - Secret Selma for Autumn and Tell Laura for Christmas!

What shades are you loving from Charlotte Tilbury's HOT LIPS collection beauties?

MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish Review

MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish Review
Last month I turned 23 (Ahhh I'm officially a real life adult!) and of course to make myself feel better I just had to go shopping. I had a few items on my list that I couldn't resist any longer and one of them was MAC's Soft & Gentle. I've been meaning to get this for the longest time, but other highlighters have got in the way and lowered the immediacy of getting this. As it was my birthday and we had travelled to Selfridges with a MAC stand, I thought it was the perfect time to get my hands on the cult favourite Soft & Gentle.

MAC SOFT & GENTLE MINERALIZE SKINFINISH REVIEW
I'm a big highlighter fan and I use it all year round, the weather doesn't stop me! I just don't feel complete if I don't have a bit of shimmer on my cheeks. Soft & Gentle is a beautiful peach toned golden highlight with 77 mineral complex - if you're after a shimmer, this is the one for you! The golden shade is perfect to add a subtle luminous finish with a hint of warm glitter - so pretty for Summer. If you want that Greek Goddess look, this gets full marks. I also think this is going to be gorgeous going on into Autumn. It adds a bit of warmth to your cheeks which I find really nice in the Autumn - it may be cold but your complexion doesn't need to be! I find this gives off a really healthy radiant finish, you could even use this all over (very lightly with a good polish!) to give you a glowing luminous look - I think the all over look is definitely more suited to Summer time!
The powder itself is slow baked and velvety smooth, making this a dream to use. A little goes a long way and you can really blend this as much as you like to get lighter or heavier looks. Although this is very pigmented and glittery, you can definitely use this everyday for more natural looks. If you blend it in a bit more the glitter kind of softens and you're left with just a luminous healthy glow. The only thing that can be a bit annoying is, it has quite a bit of fall out in the pan. Also when you apply it can leave a bit of fall out, but this can easily be blended in. I can see this working for all skin types as it's so versatile to use, it can be light and radiant for paler skin as well as gorgeous and golden on darker skin.
I also love the new packaging this comes in. Now we can actually see the shade through the clear lid so we don't confuse it with our setting powders! MAC really give you a healthy amount in this domed baked powder. I can see this lasting a good couple of years (thankfully as it has a bit of a steep price at £24). I'm very impressed with Soft & Gentle and I'd love to try some more in the Mineralize Skinfinish range, there really are some beautiful shades. Although were coming to the end of "Summer", I think this is a perfect all rounder, all year long - so it's never too late in the year to pick up a highlight, I can't wait to use this in Autumn.

What Summer makeup picks are you looking forward to carry over into Autumn beauties?

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color Review

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color Swatches on the lips Nude Flush, Nude Thrill, Coral Courage, Electric Pink, Berry Boost, Orange Shot, Rebel Red and Possessed Plum
Another week, another liquid lipstick. You know I just can't get enough of these gorgeous creamy matte shades and I've got another gem up my sleeve, Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Colors. These little beauties tick all the boxes for me, so of course I need to tell you all about them! Maybelline have really got it right with this one, if you're looking for that intense bold matte lip without the usual cracking and drying then you need to try these.

On first application I couldn't ignore the scrummy sweet scent, there's nothing worse than applying a lipstick/gloss that has that plasticy makeup smell! The applicator is the perfect shape to create your bold lip with ease and no mess. It has a slanted flexible tip making sure to reach every point and every corner. The ultra soft bristles make these a joy to apply, you almost don't want to stop gliding on your colour! The formula is super pigmented and of course very vivid! As soon as you apply your lip colour, the shade is super intense and you're ready to go. I've found other lip products to be very drying if they're a bold and vivid shade like these, so I was instantly impressed with the creamy formula of these. These are definitely the one to keep in your handbag if your after a comfortable bold lip for all occasions! These have got to be some of the most creamy and moisturising liquid lipsticks I've tried (and I've tried a few!). The formula is instantly moisturising on your lips, they kind of feel like a lip balm. After 5/10 minutes they start to give you the velvet matte finish you want but with all the moisture! Despite the matte finish and bold look, Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Colors are not at all heavy on the lips. There's nothing worse than a gorgeous lip shade but feeling uncomfortable and wanting to scrub it off as soon as possible! I really put these to the test recently, We were recently on a car journey after a busy day and no time to eat, we stopped of at Mcdonalds (of course) and I couldn't stuff my face fast enough! Medium fries and two hamburgers later (don't judge me!), my Vivid Matte Lip Colour was still in tact. Yes it was a bit faded in places, but I could of gone out in public without re applying if I had to. I was very impressed, I haven't known a liquid lip product do stay put so well.
Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color Swatches on the lips Nude Flush, Nude Thrill, Coral Courage, Electric Pink, Berry Boost, Orange Shot, Rebel Red and Possessed Plum
As you can tell from the name, all of the Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Colors are super vivid and bold. I can't choose my favourite, they're all beautiful, but I think I like Nude Flush and Berry Boost for everyday and all seasons, Rebel Red for Christmas time and of course Possessed Plum for Autumn/Halloween! There really is a shade for all occasions and all seasons. I think a matte lip looks great in the Autumn/Winter months so I really can't wait to start using my Rebel Red and Possessed Plum.
You can pick these up from Boots for just £6.99 and right now it's buy one get one free on all Maybelline products! If you're after a creamy, moisturising matte bold lip, then I really recommend you give these a go beauties.

What are your favourite Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color shades?

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review
Now I'm going to talk about a product I've been lusting after for moooonths! I have a bit of a thing for mascara and I can't get enough of long thick black lashes, to be honest it's probably one of the products I can't live without. On a regular basis I go out (in public!) with no makeup on, but I have to wack a bit of mascara on, or I'll just look like an exhausted five year old! So when it comes to trying new mascaras, I'm all over that! Usually I stick to my high street favourites and I can't seem to go wrong with any of the Maybelline mascaras, so I've never really felt the need to spend the extra money on a more high end brand, Until Too Faced Better Than Sex!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review
Of course I couldn't ignore the hype this mascara was getting and it just sounded right up my street! So of course I picked it up and I'm obsessed. First off, the packaging is just soooo pretty and girly and it really feels high end and high quality! I know it's not all about the packaging, but you have to admit, it does feel nice having super pretty products in your makeup stash! Now how does this mascara actually perform? From the very first application, I knew I was onto a winner. It's just so easy to apply thanks to the nice solid handle. The brush itself is super thick and curved to perfection (the shape was actually based on the curves of a woman - how cool is that!). The hourglass brush gives you the perfect thick long lashes right from the corner of your eyes to the end. The brush also helps give you full, curved to perfection long fluttering lashes, you'll be mesmerising! Of course the formula is perfect too, the carbon black collagen fuelled formula, will leave your lashes jet black, dramatic and ready to make an entrance!
This is definitely the mascara for those of you who love the more intense and luscious black long lashes. It's perfect for a night out and will compliment a smoky eye look like no other! But I've also found it's perfect for everyday too. It's not over the top or clumpy in the slightest, as I said, I can get away with just wearing this and no other makeup for those lazy days! I always thought it was a bit of a waste spending money on high end mascaras when you can get perfectly good ones in the drug store, but Too Faced Better Than Sex has really opened my eyes. It's so worth the £19 and I really think this is going to be a holy grail that I need to have at all times now! If you're like me and just don't feel the need to spend the extra money, then I really urge you to just spoil yourself and give yourself a treat. I don't have a bad word to say about this mascara, I've literally fallen in love!

What are you loving from Too Faced at the moment?
