June Beauty Favourites NARS Orgasm Illuminator, ESSIE Gel Couture Take Me To Thread, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Cannes, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder and The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing butter
Can you believe we're already half way through the year!? You may not want to hear it but to me, that just means we're on our way to Autumn & Christmas - my favourite time of the year, eeeek! Anyway let's get back to the present and the so called Summer we're having. Let's be honest it hasn't been that Summery has it? This month I've been embracing the dark nails and lips like I do in the Autumn, I know shoot me now, but let's face it - it's pretty dull outside! On a brighter note, here's what I've been loving this month.

June Beauty Favourites NARS Orgasm Illuminator and The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing butter.
As you may remember from my recent The Body Shop Haul, I finally got round to trying the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. I'd like to do a full review on this soon maybe. so I'm not gong to go into too much detail, but basically I love it. It smells gorgeous and so soothing. I've really been enjoying using this and watching the indulgent camomile butter, melt away my makeup and nourish my skin. This really does melt down your makeup, a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling so nourished and cleansed and of course, silky soft.
Although I've been reaching for the darker shades this month, I've still been loving a fierce highlight. I've been using my NARS Orgasm Illuminator to brighten up my face and I've really enjoyed trying this, this month. It's the first liquid illuminator I've really got on with, so of course I need to tell you about it. It's so easy to just dab on and rub in, it doesn't appear streaky or rub of any of my makeup underneath. The formula is so light and easy to apply. The Orgasm shade is gorgeous and peachy with a golden shimmer, it would be perfect if the weather actually brightened up a bit! Still, it's been great for adding a bit of warmth to my look. If you're after the perfect liquid illumintor, you need to try this!

June Beauty Favourites ESSIE Gel Couture Take Me To Thread, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Cannes, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder
Even though it's supposed to be the Summer, the weather has been a bit dull and grey and I've been embracing the warm dark shades. I know I'm supposed to be wearing bright or pastel nails but I've been leaning towards my new Essie Gel Couture in Take Me To Thread - a warm dark taupe. This gorgeous dark taupe just seems more fitting in these greyer days, but without being too dark and depressing. I've been loving the formula on Essie's new range, they're super shiny and very opaque - I love the colour pay off. For me these last longer than my usual polishes even though I have experienced a little bit of chipping, but my job is very manual so this is to be expected. I'd really recommend trying the Gel Couture range if you love the super shiny gel look.
I've also been embracing the darker lips of course this month. I'm still on my liquid matte lipstick obsession and this month I tried the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. Cannes has been my go to this month, it's a beautiful warm peachy nude, so it does have a bit of colour in there for the Summer. I think this shade is just so flattering and fun. The formula is super creamy and surprisingly light, this doesn't dry out my lips even though it gives the lovely matte look we all want. You can see this shade in action in my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream review
My last favourite of this month has been my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder. I only use this on special occasions because I tend to go a bit over board on the powder and use a lot! I've really been loving this, it's so silky and smooth I really wish I used this everyday. It applies so easily and really gets rid of shine, but still gives me a natural and flawless look. I use this along with my NARS Sheer Glow and it doesn't get rid of the healthy radiant glow this foundation gives me. If you're looking for a high end natural silky powder, give this a go.

I love going through what I've been using each month and I'm excited to see what next month will bring. If you'd like to see last months monthly favourites you can here. What have you been loving this month?

A Little Bit Of LUSH

LUSH Haul Avobath, Sunnyside, Brightside, Love Lettuce, Fizzbanger
It seems only fitting I write this post whilst sitting here with my new Love Lettuce mask on. Recently my LUSH collection has been dwindling away and it was about time I put some new little treats in there. I made my way into town and whilst I was on my way to the ticket machine, a lovely couple gave me their ticket with 30 minutes left on (how nice is that!?). I didn't want to seem rude, so I took the ticket and made it my mission to get to LUSH and pop into a few other stores in just 30 minutes! After a quick dash in and out, my LUSH box is looking a little more plump.

LUSH Haul Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask and Avobath Bath Bomb
I knew I definitely needed to get my hands on a fresh mask. As much of a LUSH fan I am, I never get the masks, I think I've tried them once or twice but not enough to have a real opinion on them. Masks are such a lovely way to unwind and really treat your skin. One of my goals for the rest of the year is to try more masks and do one at least once a week. I picked up Love Lettuce - a soothing, brightening mask, packed with natural Seaweed Gel, Honey and Almond oil, to moisturise and brighten your complexion. This mask also contains Almond shells to gently exfoliate your skin. This is suitable for oily to normal skin and sounds like the perfect pick me up! It smells absolutely gorgeous thanks to the lavender oil, I can't wait to do a proper review and tell you all about it.
Now I can't seem to go into LUSH without picking up Avobath. It's definitely one of my favourites. I love this for when I want to relax and unwind and get rid of any stress. I'm a massive citrus scent lover, so for me the Lemongrass and Bergamot oils are heavenly and so refreshing! Avobath is the one I grab if I'm feeling a bit groggy, or under the weather. It's an instant pick me up, that's also super moisturising thanks to the Avocado and Olive oil.

LUSH Haul Fizzbanger Bath Bomb and Brightside Bubble Bar
As you already know I'm a sucker for the citrus scents, so of course a Fizzbanger made it into my basket. To me this is one up from Avobath, this is for when you want the full works - fizzing, popping, colours - you name it, Fizzbanger has it. This is the perfect blend of citusy Apple, Sweet Cinnamon and soothing Ylang Ylang, making this equally soothing and relaxing as Avobath - but with a bit more of a punch!
I can't go into LUSH without picking up some kind of bubble bar and as it's Summer, I thought I'd pick up a gorgeous fruity and yep you guessed it, citrusy bar! I got my hands on Brightside Bubble Bar. I love how generously sized this is, you can easily use this 3 or 4 times - thanks lush! As you have already probably guessed by the colour, this is packed full of delicious sweet orange smelling goodness. The Sicilian Mandarin, Bergamont and Tangerine essential oils, will leave you feeling uplifted, refreshed and ready for anything!

LUSH Haul Sunnyside Bubble Bar
I'm sure by now you've probably sensed a general theme going through my head whilst I was in LUSH, Yes OK I got another sweet citrus goodie! This time I picked up Sunnyside Bubble Bar. I don't think I've ever tried this, but of course thanks to the Sweet Orange, Tangerine and Lemon oils, it's right up my ally! I just love a good uplifting, refreshing scent in the Summer! As you can tell it's  suuuuuper shimmery! It's a bit messy but I just know this is going to be so fun to use. It leaves your water so velvety and shimmery - so luxurious, I can't wait to try it out. This is definitely one of those ones for special occasions (and not for a hair wash night!).

Have I picked up any of your favourites? What are your go to LUSH goodies?

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish
If you're a regular here you'll know I've been loving Essie this year and have quickly made them my go to nail brand. So of course I just had to get my hands on the newest Essie range, Gel Couture - they've even got a swanky new bottle!
The new gel couture range has a sophisticated couture feel to it, the new angled bottles are elegant but with a twist (literally!). The collection consists of 25 brand new shades with up to 14 day wear thanks to the new two step system. First you apply two coats of one of the gorgeous new shades and then apply the all new gel couture top coat, to lock that shade in and give you the perfect gel looking manicure - quick and easy!

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish Take Me To Thread, Touch Up and The It-Factor
Top to Bottom, 'Touch Up' - Warm pale pink nude, 'The It-Factor'- Hot pink, 'Take Me To Thread' - Warm taupe.
I couldn't wait to give these a go, even Simon was very impressed with the sleek new bottles, he loved them! I tried out a vibrant hot pink first, the it-factor. I found the formula perfectly smooth and just the right consistency. I was a bit worried it might be a bit thick and gloopy because of the gel finish, thankfully it's not gloppy in the slightest! The colour applies so opaque with no streaks insight, I'm very impressed! I'm also loving the tapered brush, I love the rounded corners it makes application so effortless. I immediately go off a range if the brush is wrong! The polish drys within a few minutes, ready for the top coat - I loving the all white bottle. Even the top coat isn't too thick and gloopy which does surprise me for a gel look nail. Again it's so easy to apply thanks to the tapered brush and smooth formula.  You're left with a beautiful, chic gel look manicure in as easy as two steps. The finish is super shiny and super glossy - so sophisticated! I was very interested to see if the 14 day claim was true and I know I would really be putting it the test in the job I do. My job is very manual, I'm using my hands constantly for so many different things, usually my nails are chipped within the first hour of work! Honestly I wasn't expecting much, because I don't think it's fair to judge the polish with my job. As I expected, my nails started to chip halfway through the week, but I wasn't topping up with the top coat like suggested! Don't let this put you off, I know for a fact if I had an office job or worked from home etc, my nails would still be perfect. Next time I'm going to top up every night and I know it will last longer.

I'm super duper impressed with the gorgeous new Gel Couture polishes. I love the shades, formula and quality of these stylish new polishes. Although they chipped due to my work, these still last longer than the average polish and I would definitely recommend these to anyone. I can't wait to grow my collection.

Have you tried the new Gel Couture collection? What other shades do I need to pick up beauties?

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil with ELLE UK Magazine
Occasionally I like to browse the magazine stand for any freebies/discounts. Magazines can be a great way to save yourself a bit of cash or try out a new products without forking out the full price. Last week I noticed ELLE UK were giving us Benefit's newest brow pencil yet to be realised! Of course I snapped this up, who can resist a chunky fashion magazine, plus the newest benefit brow product!?

As soon as I got home I ripped it open to try out Benefit's Goof Proof Brow Pencil. It's the cutest silver triangular pencil with a diamond shaped lid - love it! The freebie is a third of the full sized product that retails for £18.50, so this is a great sample size. If you couldn't already tell, Goof Proof is supposed to be super easy to use to fill and shape your brows - even your boyfriends could probably figure it out! I was eager to put this to the test. The pencil itself is a unique diamond shape, it's unlike anything I've seen before. The diamond shape is supposed to make it easy to shape your brows from the thickest points, to the tail of your brow - as well as making it easy to fill in and define. I love how it has a pointed edge, it really does help gain that sharp defined edge we all crave. I also found this super easy for filling in thanks to the angled gradient shape.

I got shade 02 which is a light brown, it's a bit light for me but it does the job. If I was going to buy this I would get a dark brown, but for a freebie I can't complain. The formula is gorgeously creamy and really does glide on super easy! The only thing I found annoying with this, is I like to brush my brows before and after usually using my Soap & Glory Archery with spoolie, I find it really helps blend and neaten up my brows. Thankfully after popping onto the Benefit website, I found out the full size comes with just the thing - a spoolie-brush end! Yay well done Benefit! This will be perfect for blending your brows and really defining your brow look. Knowing this I would definitely recommend picking up the full size Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil coming very soon 26/06/2016. This is the perfect brow pencil for anyone starting out with brows, who's in a rush or just generally want gorgeous brows, that don't take up your whole morning routine!

If you don't want to wait until the 26th for your full size version, then pick up a copy of ELLE to try it out before anyone else. You will also receive a free Benefit Brow Bar eyebrow wax after booking your first - how spoiled are we! Thanks ELLE & Benefit!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious
OK so we've all heard of Maybelline's Lash Sensational mascara, but have you heard of the newer Lash Sensational Luscious? I recently saw a review on this on another girls blog and instantly, I knew I had to get my hands on the newest sensational addition.

After being so impressed with the first lash sensational, I was very excited to try this. Even though I've read a few not so great reviews on this, I still wanted to give it a fair go and see how I got on with it. First off, I love the packaging, it's so pretty and stylish, I love these two colours together. When I see a black chunky packaging, then I expect thick black luscious lashes.
Lash sensational luscious is said to be enriched with a blend of precious oils including rose, safflower and argan oil. This magical blend of oils is thought to give you softer and thicker multiplying lashes. This mascara is definitely one for those who want thicker and longer lashes. A few coats of this and you can create that full luscious look you want. I think this is great for everyday for me as I go for that look all the time, but it might not be for those who want a more natural everyday look. The oil enriched formula and arch shaped wand instantly give you longer and fuller lashes. At first I found this to be a pretty 'wet' formula, but I find that will all mascaras at first. I prefer them to be a couple weeks in, I feel like I have more precision and control with a dryer formula. It may be easy at first to go a bit overboard and get that spider legs look we all can't stand - but that's just due to the wet formula (give it a week or two and it's much easier to control).

The brush is different from the original too. Instead of the curved bristle filled wand, it's more arched with shorter precise bristles. Even though they're shorter, they definitely still lengthen and multiply your lashes. I'm not sure how I feel about the arch yet, although I do like the thinner end to reach into the inner corner of your eyes.

For me this is great as I go for the longer, fuller more defined lashes. Maybelline are yet to disappoint with their mascaras, they always make it so easy to get long luscious lashes. This is great for me and I'd recommend you trying it if you loved the original. I don't think it's 'better' than lash sensational, but we didn't ask for an improvement, did we? I can see myself still loving and buying both lash sensational mascaras.

Have you tried this yet? What's your favourite Maybelline mascara?

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

I couldn't of been more excited when I walked into my local Boots and saw there right in front of me, was a new NYX stand! I literally stopped and squealed with excitement (my boyfriend on the other hand, had know idea what was going on). I must admit I was pretty overwhelmed and excited I didn't know where to start. After being so impressed with the butter glosses, I knew I needed to get my hands on some of the Soft Matte Lip Creams. I picked up three gorgeous shades to start me off.

Milan | Soft dolly pink
San Paulo | Bright fuchsia pink
Cannes | Warm peachy nude
I was very eager to see what these were like. The next day we decided to go on a little spur of the moment trip to the zoo and I thought, what a perfect way to try out my new lip creams! I chose Cannes and immediately loved the creamy soft formula, it's such a joy to apply these. Of course the sweet vanilla scent is so scrumptious too. I found it easy to apply and even if you do make a bit of a mess, it's easy to wipe away thanks to the creamy liquid formula. After a few minutes the lip cream starts to dry and reveals the velvety matte finish. I love that these give us the fierce matte finish but without overly drying our lips, oh I do love the cream matte formula - genius!
We did stop and get a subway on our way and to be honest, I never expect any lip product to stay put after eating! To be expected, this did budge a bit but that's fine, I don't mind reapplying after eating. For just £5.50 I'm very impressed with the formula, the scent the packaging and the finish of these beautiful soft matte lip creams. I'm sooooo happy we now have a NYX and I already can't wait to go check out more from the massive range of NYX soft matte lip creams.

Let me know if you've tried these and what shades I should go for next? Also what else do I need to get my hands on from the NYX stand!?

May Favourites 2016

May Favourites 2016 NARS Kalahari, NARS Audacious Anita, Rimmel Volume Colourist, Revlon Ultra Matte HD, Soap & Glory Peach Party
It's been a good few months since I've done a favourites post, but as it's a new season I thought it was about time I'd update you guys. I've also been thinking about posting twice a week instead of just once, so hopefully this will be going up on Thursday instead of Monday, yippee!

May Favourites 2016 NARS Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo, Revlon Ultra Matte HD Devotion
This month I've pretty much stuck to the same makeup look (boring I know, but I love it!). Most days I've been choosing NARS Kalahari Eye Shadow Duo over any of my other shadows. I've always loved the more bronzey golden shades, they bring out the hazel in my eyes. I like to apply the matte brown shade first - it has an almost copper red tinge to it, then apply the copper shimmer in the crease. This is the most beautiful bronze shimmering eye, I've been loving it with a lot of bronzer and dark nude lips, this would be great on your Summer holidays! The formula is gorgeous and a little goes a long way, watch out for a bit of fall out with the shimmering shade though.

One of the newer products in my collection is the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Devotion. Now I can not say enough about this gorgeous matte lip cream, you can see a more detailed review in my post here. Of course like everyone else right now, I can't get enough of the matte lips, so when these came out I had to get a couple. Devotion has stood out to be my favourite, I think the warm toned rose pink shade is so flattering. What I'm most impressed by is the formula. I love that these are so creamy and lightweight on application, you hardly feel as if you have anything on your lips. After about ten minutes the lipstick kind of dries and the beautiful matte finish is visible. These kind of act like a lip stain, the shade stays beautiful for hours later.

May Favourites 2016 NARS Audacious Anita, Rimmel Volume Colourist
To go along with my bronzed copper eyes, I love a good dark black mascara and Rimmel's Volume Colourist is the one! I love the jet black eyes, it really makes your eyes stand out more and draws attention. Rimmel have never let me down with mascara, this adds volume, length and a gorgeous jet black colour - without being too thick or clumpy. You can really get nice lengthy, defined lashes with this, without being a complete mess! Volume Colourist has tinting properties to it, so it actually tints your eyelashes the more you wear it - so even when you're not wearing it, you should have nice dark lashes. Now I have quite dark lashes anyway so I can't comment too much on this, but I do love the colour when it's on.

If I'm not wearing Revlon's Devotion, I've been wearing NARS Anita Audacious Lipstick! I've talked about this before in a review, so if you're a regular reader you'll know how much I love this. I love the warm nude tone, it really warms up your look and makes your lips look so plump and kissable! The formula is so gorgeous, it's so creamy on application but gives a more matte/sheen finish - as you can probably tell I have a thing for the non drying matte formulas - so let me know some of your favourites. I loved this so much I got my hands on another Audacious Lipstick - Natasha, so I'm sure I'll be talking about that really soon.

May Favourites 2016 Soap & Glory Peach Party
The weather has got slightly warmer and like most Brits, I like to embrace any sunshine we do get. So for the past month I've been rocking my Soap & Glory Peach Party, in hope we get some sunshine! This is a beautiful shimmering blush with a spectrum of shades including, a warm pink, golden bronze, champagne and a copper toned bronze - mixed together make the perfect warm shimmering Summer blush. I love the natural warm glow this gives, I just wish I could really show this off with some more sunshine! The formula is soft and creamy and this applies beautifully.

Food Favourites
I wanted to do something a little bit different this month and add a couple of other favourites too. This month I have discovered hummus! If you know me in person, then you'll know there's not much I don't put ketchup with! But it's so bad for you and your skin, I'm really trying to cut down. My favourite thing to eat has been bagels. It may sound weird but I love a sesame seed bagel with reduced fat hummus, ham and spinach. I don't know if that's a weird combination, but I love it and I like to think it's some what healthy for me too!

TV Favourites
This month I've also been re watching Gossip Girl, I've watched it all before but I wanted to introduce it to Simon (the boyfriend). He's pretty good like this, he'll watch anything with me (we've just finished Sex & The City) he's such a big girl! My obsession for Gossip girl is well and truly back, I just feel like I should be Blair Waldorf! She's sexy, powerful and wealthy and for sure my girl crush this month!

I'd love to know what you've been loving this month?
