MAC Brave Lipstick & Soar Lip Liner

MAC Brave Lipstick and MAC Soar Lip Liner
Recently I have been absolutely loving the MAC lip combo everyone has been talking about, thanks to the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner bunch, Kylie Jenner. Kylie's lip game is so strong, she's pretty much untouchable, but of course we can all try. As soon as Kylie started wearing these fierce nude shades, we all needed to know how we could get that look, including me...

These gorgeous nude matte shades have been all the rage lately and I personally can't get enough of them. I never really used to wear a matte lip before everyone started going crazy for them, I just had to see what all the fuss was about. I ordered Brave and instantly I loved it. I love the Satin formula as it gives a matte look, but actually feels moisturising, I think this is the perfect formula especially if you're just starting out with the matte lips. Brave is a gorgeous warm pink nude, that would look so fierce on sooooo many different skin types. I also think this will look amazing all year round, it's dark enough to rock Autumn/Winter, but warm enough to pull off Spring/Summer too.
So we've got the lipstick, now onto the liner. I'm just going to come out with it and say it, ok - I have NEVER used lipliner before this! Soar was my first ever lip liner! I know, I call myself some what of a beauty blogger, but this girl has only just discovered lip liner! I was sooo excited and pretty nervous to use my new discovery and can I just say, I have massive respect for you beauties who rock your liner - it's so blimming difficult! As you can tell form the picture below I am no master at the liner yet haha! Anyway onto Soar, Soar is a great shade to pair with Brave. Soar is a little darker than Brave, but has the same gorgeous warm nude/brown pink colour. Personally I prefer a darker liner because then you can actually see it in action. I'm really loving this combo and I can't wait to see it in action this Summer too. I'm also very excited to master the lipliner and add to my collection!

Have you bought into the massive Kylie Jenner, nude lip craze? Also do you have any tips or recommendations for me with the whole lip liner thing?

  1. This shade looks gorgeous on you - I use the Soar liner but I pair it with Faux which is another mauve/pink/nude. Lovely post!
