What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

What's in my travel makeup bag?
As you're reading this, I'm enjoying some much needed down time in London for Simon's 30th Birthday. Not that we'll be relaxing much, we have a jam packed schedule including The London Dungeons, Madame Tussauds, a couple of the museums, watching The Lion King and of course as much shopping as I can fit in! We'll be here for three days so of course I'm going to have to take a selection of makeup goodies. I seem to over pack all the time, even if I'm going away for just the weekend, so this time I've made a conscious effort to not over pack and I'd love to show you what I have decided on.

Rimmel, NARS, Collection
BASE

For my base I have brought my trusty Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr foundation. This is my go to everyday base. It's so easy to apply and blend and gives me great coverage to hide those pesky blemishes. The shade Light Porcelain is my perfect shade and that's usually so hard to find in a high street foundation. I'll be using my holy grail hight street concealer Collection Lasting Perfection to add that extra bit of coverage I'm going to be needing after the 5am starts all week! This is an amazing concealer that offers high coverage, so you need to try this if you haven't! I've also brought my Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder to set my everyday makeup to give me that all day shine control. Because I can't help but over pack even when I try, I have brought my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and Radiant Creamy Concealer as well. I will most likely use this in the evenings for dinner and the theatre etc.

NARS, Charlotte Tilbury
FACE

To add a bit of dimension to my face and a bit of colour, I've packed my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. This beautiful bronzer is great to add dimensions and shading to your face, I use this to sharpen my cheek bones, thin my nose out and also just to add a bit of warmth to my face. The highlight is equally as beautiful and really adds a gorgeous glow to your face. I use this on my cheekbones, under the brow bone and the inner corners. For blush I'm using my NARS Orgasm for a fun peachy pink with a subtle golden shimmer, I've also brought my NARS Deepthroat for a less shimmering peach shade.

MAC Eyeshadow Palette, Maybelline, Soap & Glory
EYES

Now on to the eyes, I've packed my trusty Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil to shape and tidy up my brows so easily and naturally. This brow pencil is my best friends it's the easiest thing to use and I love how thin the pencil is and also the brush to tidy up your brows. I've also packed my MAC palette so I have a bit of choice when it comes to eye shadows. My palette consists of warm bronzes and I should probably pick up some new, different shades whilst I'm in London. My go to shadows will be Vanilla and All that Glitters for my base shades and Mulch, Woodwinked & Twinks are my usual crease shades. I've also packed my new Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara to give me full black long lashes. I've been really liking this but it's not for someone who wants natural defined lashes, this does make your lashes pretty full and thick!

Charlotte Tilbury, NYX, Rimmel
LIPS

Now this is where I usually go soooo OTT, I've tried to limit myself this time and I've picked two lipsticks and two glosses to bring with me. The first I just knew I had to bring was Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107, this is my go to berry red. It's a beautiful shade and beautiful formula, this always makes me feel like I have whiter teeth and that can be hard to find in a lippy. The next lippy I have packed is my Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect. This will be great for when I want toned down lips, it's a beautiful nude toned pink with a slight peach feel to it. I've also brought a long two of my NYX Butterglosses. I've chosen Vanilla Cream Pie for a fun flirty day
look and Red Velvet for a darker statement berry red look.

I'm pretty sure that's everything, I'm sure I've forgot something. Do you think I've packed a reasonable amount, or would you have gone completely overboard? What are you travel must haves for your makeup bag?

Woodwick Trilogy Cafe Sweets Vanilla Bean Caramal Biscotti Candle

It's been a while since I've talked about candles, so I'm very excited to share with you my new must have, Woodwick Trilogy Cafe Sweets. As I was browsing through Boots I decided to have a wonder through the candle section, my usual go to candles are Yankee, but I wanted to try something different. This is when I noticed these gorgeous Woodwick candles,
I had never heard of Woodwick before but they are beautiful, especially these gorgeous trilogy layered candles. I immediately had my eyes on 'Cafe Sweets' a mix of indulgent Vanilla Bean, Caramel and Biscotti. The scent is absolutely delicious and so luxurious, I just want to eat it! The scent is so warm and cosy, I just knew I had to pick this up! As you burn the candle each layer melts away unleashing a new indulgent scent - you'll never get bored of it!
The scent and the gorgeous shape and colour of the candle had already won me over, but as an added bonus, these candles crackle like a log fire when you burn them! Thanks to the new patent pending +pluswick innovation - a new wick that delivers faster fragrance, better burn and a soothing crackle! how amazing is that? As soon as I started burning this gorgeous candle I could hear the soothing crackle, I can imagine this being so lovely on a Winter evening. I've been very impressed with the fragrance too. It's not one of those candles that looks great and smells great but doesn't actually deliver when burning, I can smell this straight away and for as long as I'm burning it!
All in all I'm very impressed with my new Woodwick Trilogy candle and I just want to share this brand with you all, I can't wait to explore more scents, but It's going to be very hard to beat this scrummy Cafe Sweet scent!

Have you tried Woodwick before?

Nailbox January 2016

Nailbox are feeling the loving this month with the Valentines themed January box, it's so cute and pretty. I opened this up and it was just like getting a cute surprise Valentines gift (but to myself). Nailbox have really got us sorted for Valentines, there are no excuses for messy unseasonal nails this Valentines! So what did we get?

Nailbox January 2016
Seche Vite | Rendezvous This is a true love heart pink that I will definitely be rocking this valentines. A uber girly creamy hot pink. The consistency is very luxurious and thicker than most polishes, flawless bold finish. Seche Vite are always great for that professional mani look.

Sinful PROshine | Babydoll A cute baby pink, perfect for that barbie girl look. This is so cute and flirty and I can definitely see myself rocking this in the Spring/Summer.

Nails Inc | Alexa Chung Hearts This is the star polish for me this box, look how cute and fun these little red love hearts are! This is the perfect top coat for your Valentines nails. You can use this all over the nail over your favourite shade, or you can go more detailed and create your own fun look with these hearts. What more do you want for your nails this Valentines!?

Nailbox | Orange Sticks These are great for pushing back cuticles, cleaning nails and so much more. I'm excited to see Nailbox bringing out their own products and I can't wait to see what these are like.

Elegant Touch Nail Apothecary | 24k Gold Ridge Filler Nail Treatment  This sounds so good and my hard working nails can definitely do with all the treatment they can get. This is said to help fill the ridges in your nails to create a healthy and even base for a smoother flawless finish. This also improves the health of your nails and also the strength. I'm excited to use this.

I'm loving this months lovey dovey theme and I'm impressed yet again by the amount of quality we get each month for our £15! Have you subscribed to Nailbox yet?
