3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS Dark Room Nail Polish
3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS Dark Room Nail Polish

It's been a while since I've wrote about a nail polish, but I thought I should at least mention my favourite polish for Autumn at the moment, 3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS - Dark Room. No surprise I'm into my darks at the moment, they just really get me in the Autumn/Christmas mood! If you're looking for some gorgeous Autumn darks, olives and festive shades, then you really need to check out this collection for NARS this Autumn!
On to my favourite at the moment though, Dark Room. NARS very kindly sent this to me and luckily it matches perfectly with a new Winter scarf I had bought recently, so I was even more excited to receive and try this. It comes in the same classic packaging as the other NARS polishes and just like everything else from NARS, it's beautiful. I'm also in love with the tapered thick brush, any nail polish with this kind of shape brush is already a winner in my books! They just make applying so easy and effortless because they fit your nail, making less room for mistakes. Also thanks to the brush shape, applying was so effortless and quick, I had both hands painted within a couple minutes, so these polishes are great if you're in a rush.
The shade it self is a beautiful deep navy green/blue, perfect for this season. I found the polish applied very opaque even after just one coat! Now I'm definitely a two coat kind of gal, but with the colour so deep already, I left it at just the one coat. The formula is super glossy and smooth and I had no problems with streaking, bubbling or consistency. I also found this to dry very quick, so if you're looking for a beautiful finish that you can apply in a hurry, then these polishes are definitely for you women on the go.
After a week I did have a few chips here and there, but I put that down to my job. I'm using my hands 24/7 in my job and I know I will never find a polish that will be able to compete with my work. Although it did chip, it was no more than any other polish I normally wear. I'm sure this would last for those in less physical jobs.

Overall I'm super impressed with the formula, the brush, the finish and how effortless and easy this polish is to apply. Of course the shade is gorgeous for right now and I've definitely got my eye on a couple others in the collection.
You can pick these beauties up here for just £15 each.

Have you tried the new 3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS Autumn/ Winter collection?

HUGE Autumn LUSH Haul!

Autumn LUSH Haul

It's that time of year again where we all rush down to LUSH and spend way too much on all their cute seasonal goodies! To me, it isn't Autumn until LUSH have their Halloween and Christmas stock in, nothing makes me happier than to go and pick up way too much of it. So without too much rambling here's what I got!
Autumn LUSH Haul

Surprisingly I have never ever purchased a bath melt, so I knew this year that had to change, so I picked up Snow Angel Bath Melt. This is the cutest little glittery angel that smells like marzipan and cherry bakewells. You just pop this one into your bath and it will slowly melt leaving a gorgeous shimmering foam, that will leave you super moisturised thanks to the cocoa butter, rose, benzoin and cassie absolute. What a perfect addition to a Christmas bath!
Next up is one of my holiday favourites, Cinders Bath Bomb. The scent is an amazing mix of sweet and spicy thanks to the cinnamon oil, almond essential oil and sweet orange oil. These oils will leave your skin feeling so nourished, as well as warming your heart in the cold winter months thanks to the delicious spicy cinnamon scent.
This year LUSH have bought a few new exciting products out such as Northern Lights. This looked so fun and exciting I just had to pick it up! Sadly when I opened it up at home, it had broke in half. Northern lights has a floral jasmine and ylang ylang scent, which isn't my favourite but I had to pick it up just because of how exciting it sounds. The ends of this are supposed to start fizzing first which means it will be swirling around your bath, leaving blue and neon green water filled with tiny little stars. Now I don't know how that's going to work out for mine thanks to it being broke in two, but I guess I can just use it twice!

Autumn LUSH Haul
Now I'm pretty sure that Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb was the first bomb I ever tried from LUSH, so of course I picked it up for old times sake! This is a fun one to try, you probably won't expect much from it as it's white but it has a golden surprise in the centre that smells sooo lemony sweet, the citrus scents are my favourite so I'm all about Dragon's Egg!
Next up we have Butterbear Bath Bomb. Isn't he cute!? This little one will leave you gorgeously smooth and silky as it's rich in cocoa butter, just like it's big brother Butterball. It has a sweet vanilla scent, so it will be great for those cold Winter nights.
As I said I'm a sucker for the citrusy scents so of course when I sniffed this bad boy I just knew I needed Brightside Bubble Bar. It smells so yummy and sweet due to the Sicilian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine essential oils you will just want to eat this! Of course not only do these oils make it smell delicious, but they are so good for your skin, so when you crumble a bit of this up under the tap, it will create amazing bubbles that will refresh and revitalise your skin.

Autumn LUSH Haul
Lord of Misrule comes out every year, but this is the first time I felt like I needed it. At first this doesn't smell like something I would go for, it smells pretty spicy and herbal, but then if you try it again the vanilla will come out and tone down the smell a little. This one sounds so fun and I can't wait to use it, I've heard lots of talk of popping candy, fizzing & a pink centre!
As I mentioned before, for some reason I have never picked up a bath melt so of course I had to get Melting Snowman Bath Melt this year, just look how cute he is! Sadly mine is missing his nose, but I know he will still be a joy to use! Now if you love Christmas and you want something to warm you up and get you in the mood, you need this one, it smells just like Christmas! It will slowly melt away in your bath revealing it's spicy cinnamon and clove leaf scent, this will be perfect for Christmas eve! It will nourish your skin as it's rich in cocoa butter and almond oil. I can't wait to use him!

Autumn LUSH Haul
The next one I picked up isn't part of the Autumn range, but I gave it a whiff and had to have it! I've never used Blackberry Bath Bomb before I think it will be super relaxing. It has a mild sweet but woody scent that is supposed to be great for anyone suffering from anxiety or depression. The frankincense and bergamot oils in this will leave you so calm and relaxed. They even say there's a little surprise left when it's all fizzed out!
Next up is probably one of the most exciting Christmas arrivals, Golden Wonder Bath Bomb. This massive golden prezzie is super exciting to use, you have to save this for a special occasion. Not only is it massive, shaped like a prezzie AND gold, but if you shake it, it also has an exciting little rattle to it leaving you wonder what it has in store for you. This will leave your bath with a surprising deep green water with a gorgeous golden shimmer, as well as it's little surprise! This smells very refreshing and citrusy thanks to it's blend of sweet orange, lime and cognac oils.

Autumn LUSH Haul
Now this simple white bath bomb is one I wait for all year round, So White Bath Bomb. To me this smells like fresh apples, it's such a joy to use. The sweet citrus scent will relax you as will the simple light pink water it will leave in your bath. So White has no magic popping candy, stars or surprises in it, it's just simply relaxing, I stock up on this every year.
Another cute little Christmas treat, The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar. As you must be able to tell by now, of course I have a thing for anything with Bergamot oil, Scicillian lemon oil, orange flower absolute or just anything citrusy in general! All you have to do is crumble this little penguin under the tap and it will give your bath the most amazing bubbles and of course a gorgeous scent too.
Last but not least is pretty much one of my all time faves, Avobath Bath Bomb. This is out all year round but I still HAVE to pick it up every time I go into LUSH. It's so simple, but it still wins me over. There's no surprises with this one, the water will be a light green just as the bomb suggests. Of course it has a gorgeous sweet citrus scent that will leave you feeling so refreshed, I save this one for days where I'm not feeling too great, as I know it will make me feel brand new!

So that's it! If you have made it this far then well done you! I hope you have enjoyed this years Autumn LUSH Haul and I have made you want to go try some out!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Lipsticks
Hellooooo strangers! Wow it's been a long time since I've posted (way too long!)
I'm sorry guys, I've just been busy and out of the loop a lil!
Well I'm back now with one of my favourite lipstick collections EVER! This post has been a long time coming, I've talked about the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Lipsticks sooooo many times before, I thought it's about time I wrote a dedicated post just for these beauties!

Rimmel has always been a trusted and go to drug store brand for me, I have never really been disappointed by anything I have bought. I'm pretty lucky to find that most things I buy from Rimmel end up being a firm staple of mine, so it's no surprise that this range of lipsticks, was probably the first lipsticks I ever tried and loved and I still do now!

The lasting finish lipsticks were Kate Moss' 1st lipstick range for Rimmel and she did not disappoint! These little beauties are infused with black diamond which reflects light like never before according to Rimmel. I definitely get what they mean, these lippys will not disappoint in the pigmentation. Every one that I have tried has been so pigmented, they are so easy to work with and they also give a subtle shine. These are some of the creamiest, moisturising lipsticks I have ever tried, they are just a joy to wear. They give you that high intense colour, as well as keeping your lips so creamy for up to 8 hours, they really have a gorgeous formula. They really do remind me of some of the MAC lipsticks, especially the cremesheens! They have the same gorgeous smell, some are vanillary, some are fruity. They're also the closest formula to the cremesheens that I have found, if I had my eyes closed and had a MAC and one of these applied on me, I would find it very hard to tell the difference. So if you're looking for a cheap alternative to some of the MAC lipsticks, I strongly recommend these!

Not only do they have the most gorgeous formula, smell and pigmentation, there are also 15 shades to choose from (which is pretty good for a drug store brand!). They range from soft neutrals, fun and flirty pinks and oranges, right through to bold reds and dark berry shades. Sadly I only have 4 at the moment, even though I have loved them for so long! I do get a lot of comments on my lipstick whenever I wear one of these, people love the colour, I just wish there were EVEN more!

For around £5/£6 I cannot fault these lipsticks, they were my 1st love and you know what they say about your 1st, you never get over them and I'm so OK with that! The packaging is gorgeous, the formula is so creamy and smooth, the colours are fun and vibrant, they smell so yummy and the price is amazing! To me, these are pretty much a MAC lippy for a third of the price, you can't go wrong with that, these are definitely worth a go!

Have you tried these lipsticks? What shades do you grab the most?

Soap & Glory Archery Eyebrow Pencil & Brush

Hello beauties, I'm back with my second and last post of my Soap & Glory Eye QUEENS series. This time I'm going to talk about the Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush

Now I'm no brow master (as much as I long to be!), but I do like to spend a bit of time on my brows. So if there's a brow product out there that can help me become one step closer to gorgeous brows, I'm there! I couldn't help but notice all this talk about the Archery brow pencil, so of course I NEEDED to try it. It's much like the Anastasia Brow Wiz, thanks to the retractable thin pencil on one end and the spooly brush on the other.
I don't know about you, but sometimes my brows have a mind of their own and this is where the all important brush end comes in to play. It effortlessly tames and controls any strays, with minimal effort. It's great for creating your perfect shape and keeping those brows in line! Once you've tidied up your brows, it's time to use the pencil. The pencil is super thin and light, giving you a perfect, precise shape. You can easily create a natural brow with this pencil as it's very thin and soft, but you can also build it up to create a more defined statement look. It's very easy to control, so it's pretty hard to mess your brows up, which is great for us brow beginners out there.
One of the only down points to this product I can think of, is that it only comes in two shades - Hot Chocolate for the brunettes and Blondshell for the fair haired beauties. Now I have light brown hair and dark eyebrows and I still find this Hot Chocalate shade the tiniest bit too dark, I would of loved a little bit of a lighter shade to try. Don't get me wrong, it's a great shade and I will continue to use and probably re purchase, but I do think two shades just isn't enough for all the different hair colours out there!

I really hope you have enjoyed my little series on my new favourite Soap & Glory eye products, that have the potential to maybe even becoming holy grails! You can catch the first part of my Soap & Glory Eye QUEENS series, Supercat Carbin Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen if you haven't already.

Have you tried the Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush? Also how does it compare to the Archery Brow Tint & Pencil?

August Favourites 2014
August Favourites 2014

It only feels like a week or so ago I was doing my July favourites!
Well this month has been great for trying products. Everything new I have tried I have really, really loved. August is the month where we soak up every last ounce of the sun, before the rain comes back and Autumn arrives. I'm pretty read for Autumn now, it's one of my favourite times of year. Before we get on to Autumn though, here's my last Summer favourites for 2014, August.

This month I finally got myself one of these famous chocolate bar bronzers, Bourjois Délíce de Poudre 52. God knows why it's took me so long! I picked up the darker shade by accident, but I still have been loving this to give me a healthy glow this month. I have a more detailed review of this here.

My go to lipstick this month has been MAC Chatterbox, it's a fun bright pink/red, kind of like a muted Fuchsia. It's bright and fun without being too much. This has been perfect this month because it's more wearable than a fuchsia but still super girly and perfect for the summer. It's an Amplified Creme, so it's very pigmented and opaque like the mattes, but with a little creaminess and shine, so it's not as drying. It comes out on me as a bright pink/red shade. I think this would be gorgeous on sooo many different skin tones, I can't think of a skin tone this wouldn't look good on!

I have also been all about NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer this month! I originally bought this as an all rounder concealer for blemishes and under the eyes, but I have especially been loving this for under the eyes, it's so brightening and creamy it really makes you look radiant and awake. It's also still amazing for any blemishes you have and it doesn't take much to cover those bad boys up! I have a more detailed review for you here.

I recently watched Gabriella Lindley from Velvetgh0st rave about the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover in a video, and I was like WOW! All you do is dip your finger in the pot, give it a bit of a swirl and voilà, you have a nail varnish free finger nail without all the cotton pad mess and horrid smell! I'm not going to lie, it does take probably more like 4/5 seconds to remove it completely, but still I think that's amazing! It leaves a gorgeous red fruit and vanilla fragrance on your nails, so you won't be stuck with the usual strong potent scent most nail removers leave! It also nourishes your nails thanks to the sweet almond oil goodness, rather than drying and stripping them like other removers.

I couldn't leave it any longer without trying Maybellines' Volum' Express Mascara Falsies. People have been raving about this for years and I thought it's about time I better try it. This seems to be the theme of this months favourites, I've been trying things that I've been hearing abut for years, but haven't felt that sudden erge to get before. The only reason it's took me so long to try this is that I've been happy with the mascaras I've been using, such as Rimmel's Day To Night & Maybelline's Big Eye's, I just haven't felt the need. But I just couldn't consider myself a TRUE beauty blogger, until I finally bought this. I'm planning on writing a full review on this soon, so I'm just going to say I've loved this, it's given me great full long lashes so easily and without all the faff of my previous 2 brush mascaras (that I still love by the way!).

If you haven't already seen, I've recently featured the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen in my Soap & Glory EYE Queens series. I'm super impressed with this eye-liner, it gives the perfect cat eye look without all of the effort, mess and tension when applying! I love the pen style nib on this eye-liner, it makes applying so easy an precise, it's really been a joy to use whilst I've rekindled my love affair with the winged liner!

What have your go-to products been this Summer?

Bourjois Délice de Poudre 52 Bronzing Powder

Before the Summer is out I want to talk about what might just be the drug store Bronzer of all Bronzers!
Shockingly I haven't tried the Bourjois Délíce de Poudre Bronzing Powder before this Summer, even though people have been raving about it for years! So I felt like it was about time I tried the legendary 'chocolate bronzer'.

I actually was in a rush when I picked this up and I got the shade 52- medium/dark, which was a bit silly as I'm pretty pale. Never the less, I've still loved using this! I recently went to Tunisia this Summer, so I do have a teeny bit of extra colour going on, so it wasn't too much of a disaster picking up the darker shade. I've really been enjoying using this and I will pick up the lighter shade, and also the newer duo that's out now!
This bronzer is very silky and smooth, which makes it so enjoyable to use and blend on your skin. As I said I'm pretty pale so I need to be able to blend this out a little, otherwise I may just look a tad ridiculous! Even though I chose the wrong shade, it's still able to give me a natural healthy look or a gorgeous bronzed glow depending on how I apply. This cute little bronzer also has little flecks of golden shimmer in, which is perfect for Summer. I just wish I'd bought this before my Summer holiday! To top it all off, this smells gorgeous and comes in a cute little flip palette that is perfect for your handbag!

I hope you've enjoyed this little post on my new favourite Summer find, I wanted to squeeze this in before the Summer is out. I just wish I found it sooner!

Have you tried this darker shade? Also have you seen the new Délíce de Poudre Bronzing Powder & Highlighter?

Soap & Glory Eye QUEENS | Part 1 - Supercat

Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner
Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner

Hello beauties, I recently found my two new favourite eye must haves! I thought I would do a quick little series on my new favourite Soap & Glory eye queens.

So starting with the Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen: We all get those nervous butterfly's when applying liquid eye-liner, you know the slightest movement will ruin your eye look you've worked so hard on! Then if you manage to do your first eye, you then realise not only do you need to go onto the second eye, but you also need to match those babies up! We've all been there with the Q-tip and foundation and tried to erase those mistakes, we all know it never ends well!
For all the liquid eye-liner cat flick loving beauties out there, this is the liner for you! This is a pen style eye-liner so it makes it a lot easier to get those neat precise wings you crave, without all the wet and messy hassle a lot of the other liquid eye liners come with. I find this a lot easier to control thanks to the marker tip that will help you create two types of look - a natural girly flick thanks to the fine point, and then the more bold and daring wing due to the thick edge. You can press lightly to make use of the fine point, which is great for getting right into the corner of your eye to create a delicate look, and then if you press a little harder or apply the edge to your eye, you can build up and thicken the line.
As the name suggests, the result is 'black extreme' you can create a very bold statement look due to Soap & Glory's Gloss-Fix finish. You can also rely on this to still look pretty perfect at the end of the day (or night), it's pretty smudge proof and long lasting which can be hard to find in a eye-liner!
All in all, I'm a big fan! It may take a few tries to master how to use this pen, but once you have, it becomes so easy and quick you won't want to be without it!

If you have enjoyed my little take on Soap & Glory's Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner, then watch out for Part 2 of my Soap & Glory Eye QUEENS ft. the Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush.

Have you tried this eye-liner before? What did you think? Also have you had any embarrassing liquid eye-liner experiences?

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

I've been trying to branch out in the concealer department and step away from my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection. As hard as it's been and for the many times Iv'e asked myself why do I need to? I have come to the conclusion I should take it slowly, by introducing an under eye concealer to my regime. I've never thought of myself as one who has under eye problems or dark circles or puffiness, but ever since iv'e started these early mornings, I have began to notice a little purpleness creeping up and finally, I had an excuse to try the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.
After using this for the past month I can say that this will be a firm staple in my make-up bag for months to come. I cannot fault this. Radiant Creamy Concealer offers lightweight to medium coverage that's very build-able for your high coverage needs. You can use this for your under-eyes to counter act those grey/purple bags thanks to the light diffusing technology, it will leave you looking awake, alive and funnily enough radiant! Thankfully this is not just a one trick pony, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer will also be your best friend on those bad skin days. It has no trouble covering up those blemishes and imperfections we so badly want to hide. It's very build-able so you shouldn't have any trouble dealing with the worst of the worst, but at the same time, it's also perfect for those no make-up, make-up days. When your skin is looking kind of OK and you just want to pop a bit of concealer and mascara on, this will also be a great one to go for. It gives you the coverage to even out your skin, whilst achieving that luminous and youthful finish we all crave.
All in all, this is definitely the one to beat in the concealer department, it does so much more than most concealers do. It deals with those dark under eye circles, hides those nasty blemishes, as well as evening out your skin tone and giving you a radiant flawless finish.
Well done NARS for creating the concealer of all concealers!

Glossybox August 2014
Glossybox August 2014
It's Glossybox time!
This month I'm just going to show you what I got so you can have a nose! I'm not going to go into too much detail as iv'e only just got my box and wanted to get it up as soon as possible, so obviously haven't had time to really try these products.
This month it's Glossybox's 3rd birthday!

Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara I have never tried anything from Essence, so I don't really know what to expect. The wand on this mascara seems to be very thick but with tiny plastic bristles, so I'm not sure how this is going to give me 'extreme crazy volume'. I think I'll stick to my Maybelline and Rimmel mascaras. RRP £2.79
Kryolan for Glossybox Cashmere Highlighter This little highlighter is super creamy and lightweight, I think this will add a very subtle shine to your cheekbones and brow bone. I can definitely see myself trying this one. RRP £12.95
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer This was originally created for Audrey Hepburn to help achieve elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine. If it's good enough for Audrey, it's good enough for me! RRP £38
Figs & Rouge Mini Hand Cream This one has come just in time for me, as I've just ran out of my Body Shop hand cream. Also I got the Mango and Mandarin one, which I'm super pleased about, as these are some of my all time favourite scents! I'm really excited to try this as I get really dry hands at work and this hand cream is enriched with shea butter, natural antioxidants and algea extract, so hopefully this does the job! RRP 6.95
Yves Rocher Rose Nail Polish I always love a bit of pink nail varnish and this just looks so cute! I can't wait to try this gorgeous rose pink, but I am a bit concerned with the teeny tester size brush. I love my brushes to be full and shaped to fit the nail. I'm not sure if this is going to effect the application. RRP £3.60
Lalique L'Amaour Personally I love getting little tester perfumes like this, I know a lot of you don't, but I love being able to test out a perfume. I'm not good at describing perfumes at all, so I'm just going to use the description given, 'delicate top notes of rosebuds laced with fresh bergamot, white floral heart notes and a musk base note.' Maybe you'll be able to get some kind of idea from that. RRP £67

So that's what I got in this months Glossybox, I hope you have enjoyed having a nose!
Overall I feel like this is pretty average and I'm just happy my next one will be free thanks to my Glossydots. If you would like to sign up, you can right here.

Bourjois So Laque Glossy Peace and Mauve
I love me some pastel nails, so it's no surprise I had to try Bourjois' new So Laque Glossy range. I picked up 'Peace and Mauve' this gorgeous pastel purple.
The So Laque Glossy range has a super glossy formula that is claimed to still go on strong for up to 10 days. Now that may be true, but I doubt it will be for me. I'm lucky if I get 2-3 days chip free thanks to my job! I can vouch for the glossy formula leaving you with super shiny nails though. You probably wouldn't even need a top coat if you're in a rush! You definitely need two coats to get a nice opaque shade with this polish, as you would with most pastel polishes. The thin brush makes sure you have no trouble applying evenly and precisely, so they'll be no need to get the cotton buds and remover out!
Over all I'm impressed with the formula and the 10 shades from this range, and I will be stocking up. I love the cute packaging and the fact that the lids match the shade.

You can pick up the So Laque Glossy range here for £5.99 each, Boots also have a 3 for 2 on all Bourjois products at the moment, so take full advantage beauties!

July Favourites 2014 Corrie Arnold

A little late, but I thought I'd do my July favourites today, I left my camera charger at my boyfriends so haven't been able to take photos of anything for over a week, what a blogging nightmare! Better late than never hey!? Here's my July favourites-

My first product worth mentioning is the Soap & Glory Sugarcrush Body Wash, this stuff is amazing! It smells sooooo good! This is perfect for the Summer months with it's fruity lime scent and fresh energy boosting goodness. I even took this on holiday with me despite the hefty bottle weighing a fare bit. Some of the goodies inside this one include lime oil, kiwi juice water, omega 3 rich rapeseed oil and Soap & Glory's COOLCAPSULE X, which will leave you feeling so silky smooth you won't be able to stop stroking yourself (in a totally innocent way of course!). Just a few squirts of this and the gorgeous zesty scent hits you instantly waking you up, to me it smells a lot like those little cola cube sweets! This is the second bottle I have purchased, now that says something when you choose the same one again over all the other gorgeous Soap & Glory washes. This is definitely my Summer body wash go to.

I have said so many times how the lasting finish Kate lipsticks have been my favourite drug store lipstick range forever, so it's no surprise that Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 32 made it in to July's favourites. I wore this lipstick every night whilst in Tunisia, it is the perfect Summer orange. It's orange without being too orange if you know what I mean! It's a very fun bright but subtle shade that works so well to brighten a look up. Of course the formula is gorgeous just like all the lasting finish lippy's. It's moisturising, pigmented, long lasting and smells great. If you're looking for a cheap. but high quality Summer shade then go for this. It's great for someone who wants to try the orange lip craze, but is afraid to go bright, this is a great pale orange to start of with.

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara has also been a staple for me this month. It's great at adding volume without clogging up your lashes, it really defines the lashes whilst lengthening. The mini brush for your lower lashes is also a great feature to have, as it adds a little length and definition without being too much. You can read more about this mascara here in my review.

Not only was July holiday month for me but it's also Birthday month, yay! I hit the big 21 this year and thought I'd spoil myself a little and ordered myself the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Diffused Heat. I've been lusting to have one of these gorgeous golden beauties in my collection for a long time now, they just look so luxurious and sophisticated with the sleek golden packaging and two toned hand made infusion of shades. The blush itself is soooo soft and finely milled, but at the same time it's very highly pigmented. You don't need a lot to go a long way. The finish is beautiful giving you a soft radiant glow, I cant wait to try some more shades.

To go along with my gorgeous Ambient Lighting Blush, I have been using my Real Techniques Blush Brush. I have fell in love with this brush all over again. Originally I used this for my powder, as it felt like the perfect size. Trying this with the Ambient Lighting Blush is just amazing though. The brush of course is super soft, paired with the lightweight finely milled powder is perfection.

Another one that I have been dying to get for since it came out is the Too Faced Pardon My French Neautral Eyeshadow Collection 2014. This is the most gorgeous little neutral palette with glittery champagnes, bronzes and chocolates, and matte creams and browns. What more do you need from a neutral palette!? I love champagnes and bronzes, so have been wanting this since I saw it. As my 21st was coming up, I thought I'd treat myself once again. The eye shadows themselves are very pigmented and gorgeous to use, they are soft and silky and very blendable. I love all of the shades in this palette which can be pretty hard to find! This is definitely going to be a good staple in my collection for a long time.

As you know it was my 21st this month, so me and my boyfriend Chris went on a huge shopping spree to celebrate. I was very lucky and Chris treated me to lots of gorgeous things including the YSL Rouge Volupté Shine 13 Pink In Paris. I have been wearing this a lot since I got it. I already have Pink In Confidence, so I knew I loved the shiny, sheer finish, but I wanted a brighter colour as I wear these more often. So I chose 13, Pink In Paris. This is a gorgeous glossy pink that isn't too much. I like to think of it as a more sophisticated bright pink lip. I wear this everyday as it's a fun bright colour for the summer. Of course the first ting that attracted me to the Rouge Volupté Shine range was the gorgeous golden packaging, it's so elegant and beautiful you can't help but want to whip it out to re-apply whenever you're out and about. If you want to see what other gorgeous gifts I got for my 21st, take a look at my HUGE 21st Birthday Beauty Haul .

HUGE 21st Birthday Beauty Haul!

Huge 21st Birthday Beauty Haul, MAC, NARS, YSL, Hourglass, Too Faced

Last week me and my lovely boyfriend Chris, celebrated my 21st birthday by going on a little shopping trip to the Bullring. I got very spoilt by Chris and thought you lovelies would love to have a nose at what I picked up! I also ordered a couple things on-line as a little treat to myself. I'm very excited to show you all, so lets get started!

NARS Beauty Haul Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Nars Blush Deep Throat
The first place I was dying to go to was the Nars counter. I had to pick me up some of the famous Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. I've been itching to try this foundation and I'm so happy I finally have it in my collection. I've just come back from Tunisia so I was a bit worried about getting colour matched, because I'm a little bit more tanned than usual. Originally the sales assistant tried Punjab on me and she thought it was great, but I just wasn't convinced. I could see the difference to my lighter skin tone on my neck and asked for the next shade down. So I choose Ceylan. I haven't actually tried this yet as I'm still not my original colour, I'm just dying to give it a go and tell you guys about it!
The next thing I knew I had to pick up was Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I choose Vanilla for this one for when I'm back to my normal shade. Again the sales assistant wanted me to have a darker shade, does anyone else find that the sales assistant always recommends darker shades that are sooo not you!? This concealer seems to be THE one to go for at the moment, as it claims to do pretty much everything and more you need a concealer to do. It's supposed to create a softer, smoother complexion whilst instantly covering up all those nasties we don't want anyone to see. It also seems to be a great one for under the eyes thanks to it's luxurious creamy texture that will give your under eyes a bit of a brighten up!
Whilst at the Nars counter, I couldn't resist having a little look at the blushes. Immediately Nars - Deep Throat stood out to me. This is a gorgeous rosey sheer pink, with a little gold shimmer to it. I love the silky texture of Nars blushes and of course the very chic packaging. I haven't tried this one yet either but I know I'll love it.

Nars Samples
Our sales assistant was so lovely (even though I didn't think too highly about her colour matching skills!). When it came to pay, she had a bit of trouble opening the till and we had to move tills, which we were totally OK and understanding about. She was very apologetic and chucked in all these freebies for me, which I thought was very generous! I got two Nars Make-up Removing Waters, these will be great for travelling or just to stick in your handbag for on the go.
I also got a Nars Smudge Proof Eye-shadow Primer I'm really happy about this tester, it's a really nice sample size that will last a pretty long while I think. I have used this one and the product is a nice gel like consistency that's easy to apply. I can't wait to try this out more to see if it's a product worth buying.
The last little freebie I got was a Nars Satin Lip Pencil - Rikugien. This is another really nice size sample, I'd say its probably about half the size of a full product, so that's great! It seems very creamy and smooth. I've swatched it and it's really nice and sheer, so I think this will be lovely for everyday, or you can build it up for a more bold look. All in all I'm very happy with these samples, very generous sizes and I know I will actually use all of them, thanks Nars!

Birthday Beauty Haul Mac Lipstick See Sheer, Chatterbox and Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Pink in Paris
The next counter I set my eyes on was the MAC counter of course. I knew exactly what lippy I was going in for after watching one of Essie Button's Top Lipstick videos ( I can't remember exactly which one). I had been meaning to buy these shades for a long time now and never got round to it until now. I picked up MAC - Chatterbox this is a bright pink that isn't too much, it's not your typical bright fuchsia lipstick, it has more of a red undertone to it which makes it so easy to wear. Chatterbox is an Amplified crème finish so it's very creamy and pigmented. I love creamy lipsticks it's definitely and important thing I go for, I can't stand a lipstick that dry's out your lips! It has a gorgeous glossy finish to it also.
The next lipstick I had on my list was MAC - See Sheer. This is one of MAC's Lustre lippys, so it's very smooth, soft and sheer. See Sheer is a fun red/coral that will add a pop of colour to everyday looks. I love bright lipsticks for all occasions and get more use out of my colourful lippys, than I do my nudes. I think See Sheer is a gorgeous coral that looks so cute and fun on more fair skin girls, because it is pretty buildable thanks to the sheer formula, it's not too much.
I then decided that I needed a new powder and thought, well I'm at the Mac counter anyway so I'll pick one up. I don't usually impulse buy on things like foundations and powders. I like to put  a little bit of research in first, but this time I just picked one without giving much thought to it. I chose MAC Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder. I was originally after the Natural Mineralise Skinfinish, but the MAC area was a little busy and they didn't have many shades out. I haven't really heard much about the Careblend powder, but it seems very silky and soft so I thought I would try it out. I've used it once and It did the job great. The powder is very finely milled and soooo silky smooth, so it really doesn't dry out your skin. It really helps keep the shine away, I did re-apply during the day but that was a good 5/6 hours later on a hot Summers day, so I'm not complaining! I'm really excited to keep using this and see how I get on.
The last make-up item Chris very generously bought me was YSL Rouge Volupté Shine - Pink In Paris. Now I'm a sucker for any products in gorgeous, luxurious packaging like these lipsticks. I pretty much bought my first one just because of the beautiful packaging. The first one I bought was Pink In Confidence, I bought this one because it was a pale dusty pink and I thought I could wear it everyday, then realised I hardly wear pale lipsticks. I love bright lipsticks all year round. This is why I chose Pink In Paris next, because it's a beautiful bright rose pink. I've used this once and I loved it, I know I'm gong to get a lot of use out of this one. It's another bright pink that isn't too much, it's more of a sophisticated bright pink lip. Of course it has the girly shine to it that all the Volupté Shine's do.

The last two items I ordered online as a little birthday treat to myself. As I said before I'm a sucker for gorgeous packaging, so it came to no surprise that I fell in love with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blushes thanks to their luxurious, sleek golden packaging and of course the beautiful marbled powder. I had to get my hands on them. So I ordered myself the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush - Diffused Heat. These blushes give you a natural, lightweight, radiant finish that's very buildable. No two are a like thanks to the advanced miscelare technique, which gives these handmade powders the perfect balance of pigment and powder. Diffused heat is described as a 'vibrant poppy', it's a warm rosy pink with a subtle hint of shimmer and sparkle, perfect for an everyday luminous look.
The last thing that I knew it was about time I had to have, was the new 2014 Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. I've been wanting this for a while now, and I'm very happy it is now in my possession. To me these are the perfect shades. I love neutral shimmers, champagnes and bronzes so this is the perfect little palette for me. This contains 3 new shades that the older palette didn't have. The shades themselves are highly pigmented and great to work with, much like the Urban Decay shades. To me this is a cuter, more practical Naked palette. I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of this and it's going to be a firm staple in my collection.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what my lovely boyfriend treated me to for my 21st, I'm very happy with all my new gifts and can't wait to get using them and most likely do a few reviews for you guys. I'd love to know your thoughts on any of these products and if you have any suggestions on things you think I should try.

Give-away coming soon
I will be holding my first ever give-away when I reach 250 on Bloglovin', so I'd love it if you could help me get there. I will be giving away one Mac lipstick of your choice and also one YSL Rouge Volupté/Rouge Volupté Shine of your choice, to one lucky winner.
You will also be able to add more entries by being subscribed to my new YouTube Channel, where I'm just starting out making videos, so I need all the support from you guys as I can get.

Glossybox Stars And Stripes July 2014
Glossybox Stars And Stripes July 2014

It's that time of month again when we get a knock on our day and a box of goodies has our name on it, it's Glossybox time! This month's theme is Stars & Stripes (I'm guessing it's because of the 4th of July). We have a box full of bits and bobs from across the pond!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd Mineral Lipstick I don't know if I've been on another planet or something but I haven't heard much about this brand, apparently these lipsticks are a 'cult American favourite' (and so they should be for £20!). I'm interested in trying this as I love the orange/coral shades, I'm totally obsessed with orange lips at the moment! I've swatched it on my hand and it seems really creamy and has great colour pay off. It also smells like some of the MAC and Rimmel Kate lipsticks which are my favourite, so maybe the formula is similar. RRP £20
ABSOLUTE New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer Another full size product which is great, but I also haven't heard of this brand before so I don't know what to expect. Never the less I'm looking forward to trying this and seeing how it holds. RRP $4.99
Carmex Lip Balm I'm a sucker for a lip balm so this is a great for me, I can never have too many lip balms lying around! I prefer stick balms so they don't get all icky and neither does your finger, but this formula seems so moisturising and creamy, I'm still excited to use this. RRP £2.69
Color Club Glossy Seal Yet another brand I know nothing about. Apparently this shade "Glossy Seal" has been specially formulated for us Glossies. Well I wish they would have gave us one of their original shades, this one seems a bit dull and dingy for the Summer! I'm not happy about this one, I haven't heard of the brand and I wouldn't use this shade in the Summer. RRP $8
Pur Minerals Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque I'm very interested to try this mask, I'm constantly on the search for amazing skincare that's going to sort my face out! This is how they describe the mask... 'Dirty Girl unclogs pores, cleanses skin and gently exfoliates. Pascalite Clay absorbs pore-clogging impurities while Salicylic Acid removes dead skin for a visibly fresher, more radiant complexion.' Anything that is going to unclog my pores, cleanse my skin and gently exfoliate, I am game for. I Can't wait to try this one out. RRP £18 for 120g

Overall I'm not too impressed with this month Glossybox. I haven't heard of most these brands and a lot of people seem to be getting the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara that I was just about to buy, so I would of loved this one to try out! I seem to have got some less known brands and not much I'm too excited to try. I'm most likely going to stick Glossybox out until I have enough Glossydots for a free box, then subscribe to Birchbox!

Most people would love to try out new brands and see what they have to offer, if you would like to sign up to Glossybox to get a box of beauty goodies every month for £10, you can here www.glossybox.co.uk

Holiday NOTD | Lose Your Lingerie

As you may know I have just got back from a lovely 11 days in Tunisia! I was supposed to post this NOTD whilst I was away, but I never got the chance to upload an image before I left. So better late than never, here's my Holiday NOTD.

I went for this cute pastel pink from Rita Ora's Rimmel range. I'm loving this cute colour and I thought it would be a good basic colour that will go with many of my holiday outfits. It's very fun and girly without being too much. I love the flirtiness of the name (I'm a sucker for a cute polish name!)
I love the formula and also the curved edge brush that comes with Rita Ora's range. I also love the finish it gives with my Seche Vite Top coat.
If you're looking for a cute holiday nail colour, then this could be the one to go for!

You can pick up Rita's range for £3.69 each at www.boots.com

June Glossybox
June Glossybox

Today I'm going to show you my June Glossybox in a quick little post. Here's what I got.

Rituals Qi Gong Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren 24h Antiperspirant This was the first thing I noticed when I opened up my Glossybox and I'm really happy I got this little one. It has come just in time for my Summer holiday and it smells gorgeous! I haven't used it yet because I'm saving it for my travels, so I'm not sure how it lasts etc. Lets just hope its a good'n, I don't want to be stinking up the place in Tunisia haha!

So Susan Universal Blush This little blush is a gorgeous rose pink in the cutest little box. I have never heard of So Susan before, but I was excited to give this one a go. I have used it and it's very pigmented and has great colour pay off. It really needs blending in though, as it does come out pretty bright. After using this, the pan it's in, did have some excess blush on the top so watch out for that one, it could get a little messy!

Ego QV Skin Lotion This little one is used to sooth skin, relieve and treat dermatitis, eczema and other dry skin conditions. I don't suffer from dry skin or eczema, but I thought it might be handy for sunburn, so I have packed it along with my holiday toiletries.

Teez Beautiful Eyes Flat Stiff Brush I opened this up and was immediately excited by the colourful brush, I have never heard of this brand before but I'm excited to give this a go. It's a little shorter than my usual Real Techniques and MAC eye brushes, but it's so pretty and compact. The brush itself isn't as soft as Real Techniques but I think it would be great for packing on your base colour, I was even thinking of using it as a concealer brush.

Nail Girls 3-in-1 Base/ Top coat & Nail Strengthener Now this one didn't excite me because I love using my OPI base and Seche Vite top coat. I would of loved a colour polish instead. I also haven't heard of the brand, so I don't know if it's any good or not. That's one thing about Glossybox that kind of frustrates me, they don't really give you well known products a lot. I know it's about trying new brands but I love a good quality product you know you're going to love. I have tried this one and my polish came out a little bumpy, I don't think it was the colour either so I'm guessing it was from this.

All in all I'm pretty happy with this 'get ready for summer' box, it really has come at the perfect time right before my holiday. I'd love it if Glossybox started to give you more well know products like Birchbox do, but I can't complain for £10!

Let me know if you like this kind of quick little type of Glossybox post, or you prefer lots of pictures etc.

The Body Shop Haul

The Body Shop Haul

I didn't mean for this to happen, but when you wonder onto The Body Shop website and see massive sale signs and discount codes then, what is a girl to do eh? SHOP!
Recently my skin has been playing up and I've tried soooo many different lotions and potions, until a couple of you guys recommended the Tea Tree range from The Body Shop on Twitter.
So here's what I got lovelies...

The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool Creamy Wash
Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash I purchased this one because I noticed a few people mentioned that the ordinary Tea Tree wash was a bit drying, so I opted for this one. I have used this for about a week now and it's not drying in the slightest, thank god! It's also very refreshing and gorgeously creamy without being over moisturising for your blemished skin. It's still only early days but I'm really enjoying this wash.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner
Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner Of course after a cleanse you need to close those pores back up, so no excess dirt can get in. I chose the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner as it's suitable for blemished skin and claims to remove impurities and help give clearer looking skin. This toner smells pretty strong, so this may be a concern for some people, I don't mind too much. I love using a toner because it really helps you remove any excess makeup/dirt after cleansing, that you can't see. The only thing with this one is, I've noticed that at the bottom of the bottle, a kind of powder I guess forms and it really needs to be shook hard to mix it all up before use, I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen or not.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion
Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion I've always been a bit nervous of moisturisers when my skins playing up, because I think the last thing my skin needs is for me to clog it up with a moisturiser, surely that's going to cause more spots. I know this is wrong and moisturising is very important for all skin types, so the last step of my new daily skincare regime is the Tea Tree Skin Clarifying Lotion. I wasn't too nervous to try this because of the Tea Tree which is known to help clear blemishes and excess oil, so I'm pretty excited to try this one and hopefully I have found my perfect moisturiser. After using this for the past week I have noticed that this moisturiser leaves my blemished skin feeling super soft and doesn't leave me with an oily shine.

The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator
Seaweed Pore - Cleansing Facial Exfoliator I've been meaning to get a good exfoliator for a month or two now because this is often a step I forget about. I wanted something that would help get rid of any dead skin and impurities, but also wouldn't be too harsh and 'upset' my troublesome skin at the moment. This sounded perfect as it's for oily/combination skin. The little granules in this exfoliator aren't to harsh and the almost gel type cream seems very moisturising, I haven't used this yet but I'm sure I'll let you know how I get on, once I've gave it a go.

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream
Almond Hand & Nail Cream I've just run out of my Soap & Glory Hand Food, so I was in the market for a new hand cream. My hands get very dry at work and my nails get ruined, so I wanted something to help. This sounded great as it's for hands and nails. This is a lovely cream to use and it does really add moisture, my nails also feel a lot stronger and look more healthy and shiny. The only thing I can say I'm not too keen on about this cream, is the packaging. I think the packaging looks lovely but the fact that it's not hard plastic, makes me feel like it can get pierced very easily if I just throw it in my bag, I don't know about you but I don't fancy hand cream all in my bag! Also the lid is pretty annoying to put back on again.

The Body Shop Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm
Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm I have also just run out of my Burt's Bees Mango lip balm so I needed a new one. I used to be obsessed with the Born Lippy Strawberry Pot Lip Balm, as it smelt amazing. I then noticed this stick and thought I had to give it a go. I love this one because it has the same strong strawberry scent, but it's in the more practical stick form. Also it's more moisturising too!

So that's everything I purchased on my recent www.thebodyshop.co.uk visit. I hope you have enjoyed seeing everything I got and maybe I have inspired you to take a wonder into The Body Shop, Thanks for reading.
